Even though the monochromatic feel is totally my thing, you've really helped me learn how to evaluate things better! Loved this first video of the year!

I feel like when you have a red lipstick you need the matching liner.... different Browns/nudes can blend very well together but IMO I wouldn’t want anyone to notice I had on two different hues of red 🙊
I honestly love the Lunar New Year makeup! I’m Chinese, so I actually really appreciate all of these cool products to celebrate the holiday. And the different red packaging looks so pretty 😍

As a January baby... BH needs to do some research on what the color garnet actually is. Mixing the 2 red shades COULD get u there but u also need to add copper. So underwhelming. ☹️
My daughter literally is not only 3, but asking me where the “jingle bells” are? (She loves your theme song) and that just shows that I don’t miss an upload 🥺
Second comment lmao: but I just had to comment in reference to the peachy queen eyeshadow palette. I just really don’t see how that color story is cohesive. People get upset when they see neutrals in an otherwise colorful palette but this is the perfect example of a palette that could’ve benefitted from some neutrals. I feel like the vast majority of people would go to pick up that palette and have no idea where to start. That includes myself, and I’m pretty experienced with makeup!
I actually bought my first full-size red lipstick this winter because I like how bolder makeup looks on video calls, but I for sure was not springing for Pat McGrath for that
That video game themed palette might get in trouble to be honest. It's based off of a Nintendo NES controller and Nintendo is really controlling with their IPs.(Unless they got permission to do it though.)
I'm wondering if they did, I haven't seen it on their site at all. I don't think they got permission and they're really toeing the line with their palette 'inspired' by The Office
I feel like you would make an awesome makeup palette or makeup in general. You see so much stuff and describe things so much better than I would. Like when you say things about the different palettes and makeup I'm like OH YEAH you're right, I saw that sorta but could not put it into words like you do/did not consciously see that!
Halseys makeup brand is actually kinda intriguing... YES like what haus labs should’ve been!! She also is being inclusive of those with acne which I love! So giving them a chance ig lol
The pandemic is destroying the wolrd economy and make up is a luxury. It is pretty obvious that making sales is the best option: still making profit (not as much as they could) while surfing the crisis while it lasts
It could also be a packaging/labeling issue or something of the sort? I know that sometimes products will go on sale if a brand is undergoing a rebrand or packaging, logos, etc. are being remade.
I saw a lot of Fenty for sale last week on Sephora's site. Don't know if it's still happening but it was the 20% of off sale items. Something like that. I was surprised to see that. I fully expected Sephora's own brand to be there as well as KVD's but not RiRi's... 🤷♀️

Love the new intro! Super cute. I actually really like the BH palettes they're coming out with. The color story is kind of nice...with nudes plus the bright red, the shimmery pink and that glittery black. There are so many looks you can create with that. I agree about the packaging but otherwise, I thought it was pretty well done. SO much better than the Zodiac palettes.
I am YAAAASSSSing the new colourpop 5 pan palettes. I don’t know why they’re more expensive than their other eyeshadows but the packaging and whole vibe is screaming my name, especially the “lyric” palette!!
The intro!! I love it so much! Also like to thank you again for being one of the creators that helped me go throught 2020. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Hannah.
Lunar new year launches are kind of iffy to me, part of it feels like a weird cultural appeal for a cash grab, especially when those brands have little to no asian representation on social media (colourpop is what comes to mind, it feels like most brands have only recently had asian people featured on their social media or part of their ad campaigns recently, glad to see the change though!). I feel conflicted, because on one hand, yay, some representation, but on the other... only for what seems to be the sake of selling product...? I'm kind of just undecided on the whole thing.
Right ?? I love having holidays which aren't Western being celebrated in makeup. But not only is there a lack of Asian models but a lack of expansion in our representation? It's always just 'oriental' designs with some red but where's the red envelopes, traditional flowers and characters like the Moon Goddess and Archer? It feels like they just do the bare minimum every year :(
@@Zen76543 I don't recall saying anything about Asians being racist towards black people. I was commenting on the way brands will try to use culture as a way to sell their products, which is a problem that I feel all people of colour face. I totally agree it's a problem, as many Asians most definetly have racist conceptions about black people, just as many black people have racist conceptions about Asian people. Minorities fighting eachother won't ever fix our problems, we're only festering resentment against eachother. All brands have the opportunity to do better regarding representation of all people of colour. I hope you'll advocate for good cultural representation of Asian and I hope more Asian people hold more brands accountable for their horrible shade ranges (like laneige). Edit: I just realized that you might be talking about the comment that talked about Rihanna, but I think my point still stands. I'd like to think Rihanna has changed (although I don't know whether that's true).
it's actually being sold primarily in Asian markets though, which is the thing. You should see how quickly that ish sells out on the Fenty Taobao store. They also use different models in the marketing there.
I'm so sad about masks because my favorite thing to play with is my lips. I have started playing with my eye makeup more though! Love the Lunar Beauty pallet I've been playing with!
First of all - loving the new intro! Thr BH cosmetics pallet looks a lot like what you could get from Revolution Beauty. That pallet reminds me sooo much of the one Halloween release, 2018 I think? It was the Beautiful Darkness pallet.
I'm so so glad you're going to be reviewing about-face because I'm a mega huge Halsey fan but none of the launch products really caught my eye so I trust your opinion on whether any of it is going to be worth it!

I had the exact same thought re: Haus Labs and About-face... from the attention to detail in the designs, to the formula and colour palette, etc etc... the fact that she’s the makeup artist for all of the models really impressed me too
Tl;dr I would LOVE for a review on her products bc I think the packaging and products look gorgeous and am super duper curious
As a January baby... BH needs to do some research on what the color garnet actually is. Mixing the 2 red shades COULD get u there but u also need to add copper. So underwhelming. ☹️
I agree with you but at least it's not as bad as the capricorn mini zodiac.. I'm still offended by that palette
@@mbbm1999 So true
My daughter literally is not only 3, but asking me where the “jingle bells” are? (She loves your theme song) and that just shows that I don’t miss an upload 🥺
The new intro, I'm in love😍. The dragun beauty powders look like they were launched by Florence by Mills. But she grew up a bit.
"we're still wearing masks all the time-I know Nikita doesn't wear a mask" the SHADE
I miss the Christmas intro 😂
Same lol
jingle be-be-be-be
“This cow is very very cute”. Thanks hun, I’ve been called worse
Tatcha stuff is so expensive for having some meh ingredients and tons of fragrance. The influencer hype made me buy it and I was so disappointed
I actually bought my first full-size red lipstick this winter because I like how bolder makeup looks on video calls, but I for sure was not springing for Pat McGrath for that
None of the shades in the garnet pallette even remind me of a garnet though. 😂 Those reds need to be a lot richer.
JLO Beauty looks like Cover FX; like we already have these options. Pass.
Can't wait for your review of Halsey's makeup brand! You made me laugh so hard with your comment about Haus Labs!
Every time Hannah says DOLLHAIRS it makes my day
Love the new intro. It’s so cute and like the sound that goes with it.
The Dragun stuff looks like Florence by Mills
My birthday is in Feb, too!! Fellow Aquarian?
She’s a Pieces.
Oh,hey stephanie!
omg hey stephanie!
Hi fellow Aquarian. I’m a Jan baby though
Stephanie Harlowe commenting on a smokey glow video just sent me into a tail spin. The compartments of my brain are colliding
Hannah: I haven’t even seen anyone think about it
The thought police: uh oh she’s blown our cover !!!
Leave me alone for the next week, imma be grieving the old intro🥺
Love the new one so much tho!!
The packaging on the about face is amazing I almost bought
I feel like you would make an awesome makeup palette or makeup in general. You see so much stuff and describe things so much better than I would. Like when you say things about the different palettes and makeup I'm like OH YEAH you're right, I saw that sorta but could not put it into words like you do/did not consciously see that!
Halseys makeup brand is actually kinda intriguing... YES like what haus labs should’ve been!! She also is being inclusive of those with acne which I love! So giving them a chance ig lol
Haus Labs is doing just fine. Makeup is how you use it, not the gimmicks
@@lokillaynuenose fine changed meaning,, I love gaga but I was shocked that Rare actually did better
I feel like cows and cow prints are gonna blow up this year 🤔 also I’m impressed with the Halsey packaging 😍
Lmao not like real cows but cow inspiration
Is pat McGrath ok? She has been having a lot of sales lately and it’s very sus
I got two mothership palettes for less than 200. That sounds like a lot still but that's like almost half off. So yea idk what's going on
Probably making way for new products
I’m so glad you posted I’ve been having serious glowmas withdrawals huhu 🥺
A new intro oh my goodness🥰🥰
Last year was the hardest year for me. My fiancé left me with 2 kids for my best friend and my depression and anxiety is through the roof. But I found you last year and you’ve helped me through so much more than you know. Love you and I’m rooting for you ♥️♥️♥️
Love the new intro!
Wooooot!!!! My girls back! I know you’re always exhausted after glowmas but oh how I’ve missed you 💙
love the new intro! And thank you so much for Glowmas again. You keep me going each week :)
Was thinking "Oh, I'll miss the Glowmas intro" but this new one is so cayoooot 😍😘
I am YAAAASSSSing the new colourpop 5 pan palettes. I don’t know why they’re more expensive than their other eyeshadows but the packaging and whole vibe is screaming my name, especially the “lyric” palette!!
the fenty kit contains 2 full size , not 2 mini size like you said, so it's actually a really good deal.
😂😂😂🤣 you talking about the Tatcha serum. i could neverrrrrr!!!!! you crack me up
The BH Cosmetics palette vaguely reminds me of the Mickey Mouse one Dose of Colors made a few years ago.
Yes!!!!
I ordered that Peachy Queen palette and I'm so excited for it to get here! 😍 The colors really speak to me
I hope 2021 is the year where the makeup market starts to die down a little. Also, I love the new more chill intro
The intro!! I love it so much!
Also like to thank you again for being one of the creators that helped me go throught 2020. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Hannah.
We got thru the hellstorm of 2020 yay!!!! Here for the makeup content 👌
I barely wear makeup but I always love hearing your opinions about it.
Year of the Ox in Asia, but it’s still Year of the Karen in the US, apparently. lol
The lunar new year themes excite me. Fruits Basket was one of the first YA manga/anime I fell in love with, so there’s that. Lol 😂
Especially when it’s Fenty Beauty and Rihanna has been racist towards Asian people multiple times
Right ?? I love having holidays which aren't Western being celebrated in makeup. But not only is there a lack of Asian models but a lack of expansion in our representation? It's always just 'oriental' designs with some red but where's the red envelopes, traditional flowers and characters like the Moon Goddess and Archer? It feels like they just do the bare minimum every year :(
Asians are also racist towards black people and we arent always represented in their own makeup products. So why should we include you too?
I was not ready for that new intro!!!! I LOVE it, along with the (I think its new??) quote poster in the back!!
NOOO... my boyfriend and I would hum your old intro when he caught me watching you. End of an era lmao
I'm so sad about masks because my favorite thing to play with is my lips. I have started playing with my eye makeup more though! Love the Lunar Beauty pallet I've been playing with!
Halsey has a makeup line? And lip glosses? Oh hell yeah. I’m so buying some.
First of all - loving the new intro!
Thr BH cosmetics pallet looks a lot like what you could get from Revolution Beauty. That pallet reminds me sooo much of the one Halloween release, 2018 I think? It was the Beautiful Darkness pallet.
yes I’m watching this while “working from home” what’s the problem??
Girl same lol
Same 😂
Same.
I pick an influencer every day and binge their videos while half watching/working.
@@post_cancer_beautycandyjon1049 same!

I'm so so glad you're going to be reviewing about-face because I'm a mega huge Halsey fan but none of the launch products really caught my eye so I trust your opinion on whether any of it is going to be worth it!

“I know Nikita doesn’t wear a mask” girl I-
Hannah in the yass or passes, can you include prices please as you discuss the make up?
Hannah: Next talk about makeup I’m probably not gonna buy!
Me: That’s my girl
The red shirt/heart shaped necklace combo is really cute!
Omggg when you see the Mac x Sims collab you’re going to freak lmao and not in the good way
Saw it. It’s sad.
One: Love the new intro!!!
Two: Love the "I am a rich man" artwork in the back
Three: Happy New Year!
Love the new intro but my sadness at the glowmas theme going away 😭😭 *sings jingle bells to myself*
