John Abercrombie is the guitarist that have the most sophisticated melodic sense of all, great work
Yes but for this I think Al Dimeola
Would offer an incredible contribution
If you have Jacky D, Patitucci and Abercrombie playing on your album you should feel damn proud of yourself.
Great to see the jazz guys following the feels Joseph and James are laying down rather than doing standard jazz impros all over it. Great collaboration!
so sad that they are hardly any more musicians with raw talent like this.
thumbs up!
They are out there, just way harder to find.
I love that figure that John Abercrombie was playing at 2:08. He was absorbing the vibe from his environment and fellow players, wasn't he?
That tambourine instrument if you close your eyes had so many pieces of rhythms going at once love that instrument.
The incredible James Tawadros on the riq (and Joseph on the oud is always outstanding)
Really intrigued by the glimpses of very beautiful music here.
It's great to see it coming together for them.
Best wishes from UK.

0:28, extacy moment !!!
@Dominico97 Nah, I think we have many musicians with this kind of talent. Just a difference in interest, thats all.
OMG
The true moment 0:28 !!!)
Is it really possible to sightread THAT fast? Having been playing bass for more than a decade I can do at best half fast as John Patitucci does.
+Carlis Hui Sure, & that was his first take, never seen the score, & he was stoned.
+misterfunnybones you're shitting me right?
of course, don't believe anything on utube. but change the speed to 2x, & that's how fast he can sight read outdoors in a sandstorm at night with no moonlight while being stalked by lions near an erupting volcano.
misterfunnybones the funny thing is I think it was his second attempt :) John Patitucci is a sight reading phenomenon...
2:44 Patitucci looks like Mork
