Blake I've been flying pigeons for decades. I will tell you this right of the back. Your nest boxes are way too big. In the space you have you can put at least one extra nest box in each space and still have plenty of room in each pair of birds to have plenty of room. You need more nest boxes in your coop that way they won't be fighting for the nesting area. Coop that size you could fit at least 30 nest boxes from floor to ceiling. And if you're going to be keeping your breeder inside install another coop for your flyers .That way you can keep the younger birds as your flyers once they are born and then you can keep your breeding pairs in their own coops. And just because they have baby's it doesn't mean that they will stay once they have baby's. I'm 63 years old and have been flying birds since I was 10 years old. And I've seen plenty of older birds take off even with baby's. That's why I'm telling you to build a second coop for your breeders and your flyers. I have 2 coops just for that reason. Keep the older ones as your breeders until you can establish your your younger flyers that way there less of a chance of losing your birds to them flying back to their former owners. Lol use to have certain birds that I would sell years ago because I knew that they would fly back to my coop once they were let out. It was a good hustle for a young pigeon lol. I think I told you about Lancaster pigeon farm out of Lancaster Pennsylvania you name it they usually have any type of pigeons you want. You can find them on line. If you ever need help or information with your birds feel free to contact me.
These aren't his first birds. He had some before but he had them in a barn and it got struck by lightning and burned down with them and a bunch of other animals inside. If he didn't have plans to upgrade his coup situation I would be surprised
@@stanleyhyde8529 I know that he had the birds before. I've been a member of the channel since the beginning of the channel. I'm just giving advice from someone myself who has been flying pigeons for over 50 years. So I am may have a bit of knowledge on the subject of flying pigeons.
Beautiful saddleback pigeons!! The last pair you took out definitely caught my eye with the light gray on the wings! However I like them all even the ones you want to re-home! 🙂
Should add some stuff to the enclosure and make it a bit bigger and have some more spots for the birds to sit on, lioe some branches and planks of wood
Hey Blake I seen that you were wanting to get rid of some pigeons I can't take them all but I can take the 2 in the bottom left the bigger gray ones if you need them gone right away
If the birds have been homed to the other loft, they'll never stay with you, don't ever let them out breed chicks, and block up your trap because they will get out.
Do you know about breeds which go high n flips in air like stunts.. We have some breeds like that in 🇮🇳...We use different technique for them to recognize there home... We tie its legs or make it sit on its loft of 3-4 days so they can scan the area n after tht they r ready to fly
Hey Blake, I've had over 500 pigeons in Brooklyn and my advise to you is separate the breeds. The new birds you just got, separate them from the rest of the stock so you can get a pure breed from them, you don't want mixed birds.
Those are not racing pigeons. They are Fancy Pigeons, they are display birds. Off Color Pigeons are bad at races due to the likeliness of them suffering from predation.
Blake your videos have been so short lately😢r u planning on going back to the longer ones again? I know you have another channel now but this is the OG channel.
Blake? You other pigeons are Cuban theif pouter and they are nothing like a homer aka racing pigeon. You should definitely keep your German owl pigeon because they are very easy to tame 🤙🙏. Keep all the other pigeons and make longer videos of your pigeons please and thank you 😇
I thought racers at first, but seeing that males more inflated and low hung cooing pouch, it's bigger than a racers inflated pouch, i tend to agree with you on Cuban theif pouters.
Curious, do you know what happened to the majority of pigeons in America? I live in indiana and used to work downtown Indianapolis. There used to be so many pigeons that they were trying everything to make them roost? nest, somewhere else bc people would feed them, the poop was destroying the statues, etc. Just didn't know if there was a reason you don't see them much anymore. Hope someone knows and replies. Thanks ❤️🤍💙
I used to have over 300 racing pigeons with my ex. He kept them. It was amazing to watch them fly in the mornings. 😊 You have some pretty birdies.
Why did you guys break up

It's cool how when pigeons pair up the male won't let no other male into his little Coop.
