That tiny little "doohickey" is the bad motivator to go in one of the panels on his dome. It's super cool that they included that with this figure being in The Mandalorian line. I may have to grab a second one for the A New Hope section of the display. This R5 looks really good - I'm anxiously awaiting this one. Thanks for sharing, Jesse!
FYI, if you twist/rotate the head while pulling the storage compartment up, you can remove the entire middle section, which makes it easier to attach all of the tools and make certain they are locked in.
Never thought I would come to YT asking how to dislodge the 3rd leg as a grown man playing with toys but here we are. Fantastic figure from Hasbro just phenomenal. I find it easier to remove the head from the bot torso to plug in all the accessories and then replacing the head but maybe I also get impatient they are very small accessories but again just brilliant to have as well as the design of the entire figure. I have nothing to complain about at all with this one!
Word of warning: The largest of the doohickey's came loose when I pushed the head down first time, then when trying to take the head out again it jammed and acted like a 'break', by the time I got the head open properly and got the thing out, it was bent and scraped. Be careful when putting these things in and out and opening the head.
I forget where I put my bandai model kit R2 as I only got it because I wanted R5. Would be nice to have a R5 that is not so... fragile then the model kit... I will have to think about it as my wallet still hurting from all the new release by hasbro. Can use a bit of weathering too from the look of it.
My experience with the new R2 don’t keep he’s stuff in him and everytime you open that head storage place it loosens and fucks the overall integrity of the figure up
Ok, so, I'm the "somebody told me about" the front chest arms folding out in your R2-D2 review, so, maybe remember my name for the bext video where U tell you now about THE BAD MOTIVATOR you've claimed to be SOooo into here, yet, YOU SET IT ASIDE to "go I an accessories bin" when you could've DEMONSTRATED THE TWO RED SQUARE PANELS ON TOP OF HIS HEAD have ONE that FITS the bad motivator on top of his head like in the movie (that Hasbro ALMOST included a spring loaded feature to make it "explode" like in the movie) REXAP: The short fat grey "doohickie" **IS** "the bad motivator" AND two of tge red square panels on top of his head are removable to reveal accessory plug-ins. You're welcome! Again LOL

Excellent review mate!
The pictures of him on Hasbro had a buzz saw featured and the figure doesn’t have one
