Hi Marty, this is Marty from Martyhausen ;) Like your Tut very much. Got a problem to make the inner glow of the black part of the symbol. Doesn't matter if I use shift+ctrl+i or ctrl+i, I can't make it work that the black part will shine up a bit. Only if I'll use ctrl+i twice, I get a similar result. Got an idea what my problem could be?! It would be nice, if you can mention why you use which tool or hotkey. F. e. is it a difference if I use Select/Transform Selction or Shift+CTRL+I? Cheers
This was wonderful. I'm experiencing a quirk though. I'm getting some transparent edges around the large circles. After creating the yin-yang symbol in black and white, I then selected based on color range in order to fill in a brand color gradient in the white parts of the symbol. Maxing out the fuzziness parameter helped to minimize the weird transparent edges, but there is still some left. What might be causing this effect?
Dear Marty, My 3d yin yang discovery was considered for publication in discover magazine by one of it's editors, Bill Andrews. Their artists had fun working on it. It didn't suit their readership. I may not live to see it but it will be an icon used by a religon, or philosophy. It will state a way to hold all life in perspecive.
When i do the top circul and the black insede i see a black line all around my selection do you have any extra settings on your eliptical marquee tool???
+Hernan Gecosala Atarting I did. At 2:15 in the video, I state, "We'll fill it (the circular selection) with black and since black is our foreground color, press Alt + Delete on a PC or Option + Delete on a Mac". In other words, pressing Alt or Option + Delete fills a selection or anything else with the foreground color.
i dont have stroke on the selections .. i did it again today and i notice that the line apear when i fill it whit black and then change it to white ...If i get ir rigth the fist time fill it whit white and dont change it to black i dont get the line ...
My red background is getting white as well if I use shift+ctrl+i, and if I use ctrl+i the hole symbol changes like I flip it horizontal. It's a *loody crazy world, isn't it? ;-)))

boldzis...It's a super-quick way to find the center of your document. Then, simply drag out the guide lines until they snap to the center. Done!
Great tutorial
Your great at making this video....... very well done...... keep on making then... Please!
Ramiro Robles...This happens if the selection is "stroked", but frankly, one would have to inspect your file to determine the source of the problem.
Thank you very much Marty!!!

Ramiro Robles...I'm not sure what you mean by "a black line all around my selection".

It sounds like you're describing "color fringe". If so, go to Layer > Matting > Defringe. If not, make sure your selection isn't being feathered.

What is ALT DELETE.
I hope you'd explain it everytime on what shortcut you just did on the video.
