+Royal Zak I often hear things like this from many people, so I've become used to it. However, I disagree with your statement strongly. As I said before, I'm a Muslim so I have experienced the religion first-hand. Never have I ever thought of my religion as "evil" nor will I ever in the future. I know of people who abuse my religion and do horrible things in the name of my religion, and I assure you those people are not true Muslims, nor do I agree with their actions. But you're free to think however you want.
kupis1408 Did you just suggest to him reading the Quran on an online website? The true and only version of the Quran is the original written in traditional Arabic, those translated are usually falsely translated and or manipulated and don't truly convey the message of the original. And I wasn't informed of what you said about Muslims killing non-Muslims in Malaysia and I believe it's ridiculous and outrageous that it is so. If they call themselves Muslims and go on to kill in the name of God I assure you they belong to no religion in existence. I'm sorry but I'd rather not continue the conversation further so I'll leave it at that, have a good day.
kupis1408 Thank you for saying so. Although I'm an Arabic speaking person myself, I still have immense difficulty comprehending the intricate language used in the Quran. It takes years of hard practice and dedication to truly be able to read and understand it. Again, thanks for being understanding :)
I lived in Thailand which has a large Muslim population. They are not at all like the Muslims you see on the nightly news from the middle east. They don't even dress the same. Most are very friendly and peaceful people. Religions change as you go around the world. I think the environment and the history of a location has a lot to do with how a religion is practised. I really think that Keith Hughes does a good job of presenting these lessons in an interesting manner. Keep up the good work.
They are practicing "*Taqiyya*" where Muslims are commanded to smile at our faces while they curse us in the heart. The Quran is very clear that Muslims should never take infidels (non Muslims) as friends... Rather, they are commanded to fight non-Muslims until we become Muslims
@@isaiah53apologetics56 You are worship trinitarian gods of ancient Babylonian which are Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz.. Jesus is muslim prophet, the Roman made appeared Jesus as part of their gods to convert people.. no wonder why your holy land is in Roman city of Vatican and not Jerusalem.. Paul AKA Saul of Tarsus the Jewish man who hates Jesus change everything, he must be happy his mission gone well..lol
Just because people that call themselves muslim are peaceful doesnt mean the religion itself is peaceful. It is in many ways a very violent and warlike religion.
I am a Muslim and I have to say your attempt to describe Islam is very successful. Some mistakes here and there but it's obvious you did your homework well. Thank you for this. Love to all people in the world and all religions :) I think it's about time we all look for commonalities between us.
I had fun (and even laughed at times) reading the comments section. Here is the summary: 1) First Category is Muslims saying the video is quite accurate but some of them complaining about the depiction of the prophet (if you are a Muslim reading this please note these are from books done by Muslims and that lots of old Turkish and Persian books had similar drawings so it’s really pointless. If you didn’t know Google it or go to an Islamic history museum). 2) Second category is Non-Muslims either claiming the video is false or at least inaccurate (obviously because they think they know more than the Muslims do about Islam) 3) Third Category is the “Jesus is lord” and “Mohammed is a false prophet” group with quotes from the Bible or attempts of character assassination of the prophet Mohammed. (If you are from this Category please note that lots of people have access to the internet and most Muslims have already heard those arguments and from a Muslim perspective the trinity doesn’t make sense ,whether we study the trinitarian or the unitarian beliefs. To a Muslim the concept of God is and will always be closer to the Jewish concept). 4) fourth Category is the actual Sane decent Christians and Muslims sending greetings and love to the other camp. Here is my take and my actual comment: The video is done for educational purposes and particularly geared for children in a classroom. It’s not done to suit your ideological agenda. Please note proselytizing for any faith using comments in the comments section is actually ridiculous. There are debates conducted by actual scholars online that have actually studied the theology of the other religion. Go watch them if it’s that important to you. All religions nowadays are loosing followers to atheism and agnosticism and the only thing the people who claim to represent the faithful online have gotten good at is insulting each other. I have nothing against non belief or any belief. I urge you to focus instead on the values of your religion by trying to please the creator of the heavens and earth by spreading acceptance, love, understanding and tolerance. People will believe what they want to believe and if you are a true believer than you should understand that God, which ever conceptualization you want to subscribe to, will not hold you accountable for what others believe. All the information is available online about all global religions so insulting peoples religions or God or prophet in the comments section is actually a problem and not a solution. Peace be with you
I was raised Christian (casual) but I went to the Hagia Sophia mosque in Turkey when I was 11 and oh God was it beautiful and spiritual. I'll never forget that amazing place. Peace.
It's super great how you have a video on all these known religions and approach them with a socialogist and historical point of view. As a muslim, now I know what you mean when you say this was only a BRIEF intro, an itty bitty bite into the whole story. There's definitely a lot more into islam but the key concepts where mostly all there, which im pretty thankful of. Though I really wanted you to give us some more detail into the sunni/shiaa split! and a lot more stuff, but guess ima have to do some search on my own lol thankyou for the great content
I am thankful for your videos on religions! I'm a Christian and after I left Catholicism, I became excited to learn more about other faiths and where they come from. Thanks so much!
Hello... I have studied how Christianity was born... Jesus is PROPHET of God. God is one.. actually what jesus thought is simply the same as Moses, Muhammad David etc.. the problem is when jesus came, jews people dont believe what he has thought, so they dont follow him.. the roman and the jews planned to kill him.. but God saves Jesus to heaven.. God send the last revelation to Muhammad through angel gabriel .. quran.com is the final testament from God to whole humanity...paul aka saul of tarsus is the anti christ... the roman catholic church founded 300 years before jesus was born.. the roman created christianity by adding jesus as part of their ancient babylonian concept of gods which is Nimrod, semiramis and Tammuz... its a hoaxed.. jesus is a great prophet of God, God is one...quran.com

thank you kindly for taking the time to put this up. one small clarification : fasting also includes no drinking, and it is a practice to over come your short comings, and to reflect on ones self, for if you lose your temper, swear, inflict harm knowingly or secretively with in ones self have impure thoughts and harbor ill will, then that is cause for ruining your fasting. depravation of food and drink , serves as a reminder that in the end we are all just humans and have basic needs regardless of gender , color or race and social status
Pretty good summary. Only thing I'd add is Muslims can have wildly different opinions on what Sharia is. For instance, some Muslims interpret the Quran literally when it says, "Whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." [18:29] But other Muslims only moderately follow the Quran, so they apparently ignore verses like, "When the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace." [25:63] Of course, Muslims who say words of peace aren't very exciting, so you'll only hear about the ones executing people for crimes they didn't commit while claiming to follow, "No bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another." [6:164]
Not true Asim either you are knowledgeable about this matter of you're Ignorant about it Saudi Arabia Not Iran represent Islam and The Shari'ah with smaller Nations having some aspects of These Laws implemented. Be mindful of speaking about Islam and being ignorant or out of hatred and biased. Moderate is in between Extremism and Negligent . No different interpretations except in Fiqh matters which is allowable. But Aqeeda (Beliefs) there is the truth and Falsehood.
I think followers of a lot of religions these days tend to "cherry-pick" what they want to believe from their religion's scripture. If something sounds too hard or difficult, or too strict & they don't want to follow it, they will just ignore it, or say that some other part of the scripture over-rides it, so they don't need to follow it...
Asim Deyaf I have to disagree with you. It's not about how you interpret it, it's about which school you follow. The Wahhabi school of faith is the one that tries to get the literal meaning and the Shia school, for example (because im shia), interprets it through hadiths of how the prophet told us to understand it and what it means.
i love you video about Islam. when I was deployed in Iraq my interpreter and would discuss religion(BIG curiosity of mine) and be both agreed that there are MANY similarities between Christianity and Islam. too bad mankind screws it all up

Because In Islam it is not allowed to make pictures of the prophet, and all images you might see anywhere are made by people that are against Islamic faith.
Very good overall. Many thanks. Just a couple of comments: 1) Ali is not buried in Medina next to Prophet Mohammad. It's Abu Bakr and Omar; Ali is buried in an unknown place likely in Iraq. 2) The "harsh" laws related to adultery are applied on men and women equally.
Salam Malenku Master Hughes. Love how you organize the creation of videos by topic and are so unbiased in your presentation. I Wish you had been my teacher in hs. Wonderful introduction to this religion which I've only seen in a tainted manner living in a primarily Christian nation.
+Keith Hughes (HipHughes) Who would you recommend for more information about Islam? I've scene Professor Bill Warner's videos about Islam and he provides the character of Islam itself as warlike.
+anthropg145 Dressed up like one? Hunty, its quite common in Asia and the Middle East for men to wear loose flowing garments, or "dresses" even today. The white man and west do not control how the rest of the world chooses to dress. I am not going to bother with your other ignorant accusations.
I've been watching Hip Hughes as an adjunct to a course I am taking on World Religions (intro course) and have really enjoyed the basic breakdown in these videos. Not only do we get the "100,000 foot view" of a topic, but it's delivered in an enjoyable format. Thank you for adding to my education!
Hi Keith! Thank you so much for taking the time to make such an educational video on Islam. As a Muslim, I can't thank you enough. I've been watching your videos for a couple years now and they're great. Thanks for all you do. I scrolled through the comments and I can already see the high amount of misinformation spreading around, so I hope your video helps make the society we live in more informed.
Awesome video, Keith! I'm Christian, and I feel like it's really hard to find unbiased info on World Religions. There's a lot of great value to be found here.
Vertical Toasted So a child molester is a grown man fucking anyone under the age of 18? Well I guess that makes a lot of European states full of pedophiles since in U.K the age of consent is 16. Google it, Christianity still leads the world in the no of people killed in the name of religion, look into the crusades as well. Not all suicide bombers have religious reason idiot. There are political and socioeconomic reasons as well. What is law today was not the norm or law or even the values 1400 years ago.
Vertical Toasted and not everyone who doesn't believe with you has to be a typical Islamic extremist. You are far more of an extremist than me. Every word coming out of you is divisive, hateful, and full of ignorance.
You are very knowledgeable and objective, thank you. I hope you can manage negative comments (some people always have negative comments no matter what you say).
It is good to see someone treat a religion with an even approach. I am not Muslim but it respect all religions and even agnostics and atheists. Live and let live.
Muhammad was born...He wasn't in charge... But he wanted to be... And thus, Islam was born... ALL RELIGIONS ARE BORN OF SOMEONE'S DESIRE TO BE IN CONTROL. (IMHO)
The more I watch your videos the more I realize how similar many of the religions are to each other and how many religions had good intentions, many of the ideas again being similar to some other religions, and how much religion has been misused. A lot of these religious founders and prophets were once seen as minorities of another religion as well, and a lot of them kind of rebelled against a mainstream "religion". It's pretty ironic and funny that people fight over religion.
Should we consider western slaughtering genocides and mass murdering Christianity fruits ? I don't think so. It's the Dark side of Human nature. Not the fault of Christianity spirituality Philosophy or even politics. (corrupted ideology and politics is the problem.. think twic before you write stupid things..)
Thank you, nice video on Islam. Just one mistake there mate, the graves beside the prophet are those of the first 2 Khalifas, not Ali whose grave is in Iraq
- By respect to the Muslims he shouldn't show pictures of the Prophet - Even the picture that he used shows a man waking up from sleep or seeing something in his dream and that is not correct. - He said that the Prophet went to Syria region and met a monk and that is not true; because the Quran was so powerful that even the Arab poets were not able to say something like it, so how can the Prophet learn from someone who is not even an Arab. - He said that Muslims do not believe that a man can speak to God except through angles, that is not correct; in the Quran God says that He spoke to Moses directly without any angle. - He said that Abu Bakr and Ali are buried beside the Prophet; that's wrong. it's actually Abu Bakr and Omar. - He said that Muslims fast to make God happy; that wrong too; in the Quran God says that Muslims have to fast to purify themselves both physically and spiritually. - He was not taking this topic seriously; he almost seemed to sort of having fun; that's the impression I have; to the point that he said "Kabab" instead of "Ka'ba" ( 6:45 mn).
Thank you! These, and many other inaccuracies; quite a torture for a muslim to watch. For his religion videos, I think he should check with at least 3 revered scholars from that religion beforehand.
I never comment but felt the need to say thank you for introducing a basic of Islam and a objective. I am not Islam but do like to learn about other religions so Thank You
10:38 “I think I’ve mispronounced that” .. my dear that’s the only word you pronounced exactly right! 😂 Compared to Kebab instead of Kaba’a or Abu Bakaar instead of Abu Bakir or Khadijoo instead of Khadijah ..I would say you pronounced Sawm perfectly..
Corrections: Touching the black stone is not an obligation in Islam. Mohammed (SA) was told “Read” by angel Gabriel in the Cave of Hira, not to pray, the ruling of praying wasn’t given until later into his prophethood.
@@kmelahiboksh7390 The thing of our faith is that we don't like putting a face on things. That is why Allah and Mohammed are faceless, maybe it stems from their actions is what we love. So to see a face is disrespectful to us and to the being you are trying to paint or draw.
Great video! BUT... there are some corrections that must be made: 1- in Islam we believe no man can see Allah but we do believe that some of the Prophets had been directly spoken to by Allah. For example, when Allah spoke to Prophet Musa or Moses peace be upon him in the sacred valley of Tuwa when he saw a bush in flames. He spoke to him directly, but Prophet Moses pbuh did not see God. 2- Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was transported to the Masjid AlAqsa (which is very close to where the Masjid of the Dome of the Rock is) and prayed there before he was transported up to the heavens from where the Masjid of the Dome Of the Rock now stands. Both Masjids are in very close proximity to each other. 3- Prophet Muhammed peace be upon him is buried in what used to be the bedroom of his beloved wife Aisha, daughter of the great companion Abu Bakr. Next to him, the great companion Abu Bakr himself was laid to rest, as well as the great companion Umar. Not Ali the great companion and cousin of the Prophet pbuh. And to my knowledge there is no space reserved as a grave for Prophet Isa or Jesus peace be upon him when he comes back to earth. 4- Muslims don't HAVE to touch the black stone. It is recommended to follow in the Prophet's footsteps pbuh and to kiss the black stone like he did. However, it is not a must. If you were able to, well good and good. If not, then not. It's not a must. Even in the pilgrimage to Makkah. 5- All able adults must perform a pilgrimage to Makkah if they are able to, in terms of health, affording the costs of making such a trip etc. If they are not able to, then this pillar is not obligatory for such people. Keep up the interesting videos.
Great video. I wish people who comment negatively about Islam could remember how Christians behave in this world. Maybe then they would give the vast majority of Muslims a break. It's most likely cowardice, not an actual abhorrence, that makes people fear differences in faith. it doesn't hurt that from both Christianity and Islam there are huge propaganda machines trying to incite followers to attack. Each faith sees itself as the only solution.
haven't read any comments and won't just wanted to point out how non biased and excepting the video host is. this is how video explanation should be done. I didn't learn everything about islam, but became interested about it from this obviously non Islamic person. the world needs more people like him. keep up the great work
So enlightening, explained so succinctly. I did have to pause the video a couple of times, so much informative information, I would only suggest a couple of pauses...to digest the information.
Sahir that’s because he does research and also I assume your Sunday school teachers were Christian and probably didn’t care as much about the other religion.
Good information and I actually learned a few things! I guess my only issue with the video is the picture of Muhammad in the beginning. Muslim's do not believe in showing pictures of Muhammad, I feel this is disrespectful to the faith you are explaining.
Cool 👍 ! A great fair simple intro to basic Islam ! Great job ! Love your style .. .you made me laugh several times ! Forwarded it to my son and I am a Muslim mom .
He didn't bother to mention how Mohammed acquired his army of 10,000. He became quite popular as an army of thugs raiding every caravan he could find out about, tearing the caravans to shreds, stealing all the goods, killing everyone that he did not turn into a slave or a concubine. His religion would never have spread except for appealing to the most base instincts of human nature, while telling the Muslims they were superior and God love them and ordained them to subjugate, slaughter and enslaved anyone not in their clannish cult that justified their thug-ism to their demon God.
Love the video Mr. Hughes! As a Muslim, I widely support your history lessons. I even used them during high school thanks to my teacher's recommendation.
3:22 A little correction there: In the Islamic faith, nobody can talk to God, except Moses. Muslims believe that Moses actually talked to God directly and even asked to see Him.
@@wissamboustaji1587 look up the night journey siraj and miraj if you don't believe me. He goes up to the highest level of heaven and that's where God gives him the salat prayers.
So I have a few minor points of contention; Of course more Muslims live in Southeast Asia. There's an unbelievably high population density, as compared to the Middle East At no point did you explicitly state that Muhammad was a warlord (although it cracked through as you described his "march on Mecca" with "10,000" under his command). Leaving this point out seems intentional, since you called him a merchant. This is strange; we don't usually consider merchants of death actual merchants. You forgot to mention how many Muslims believe in removing the division of the clerical and the secular in government. You forgot to mention how many Muslims want sharia law implemented in their countries (about 55% in European countries, and up to 95% in majority Muslim countries per a Pew research study done after 2010), and you forgot to mention the fundamental flaw of Islam, which is that transgressions are against the faith as an institution, and not against God as in other faiths
I have to jump in here, Al-Aqsa Mosque is a gated area that includes the Dome of the Rock, one of two mosques in the gated area, in Jerusalem. Prophet Muhammad flew from Mecca to Al-Aqsa Mosque, and then up to the 7 heavens on a heavenly creature called Al-Buraq, acquainted with angel Gabriel. If you search the interior of the Dome, beneath it exactly is literally a rock. Some scholars believe it is the place where prophet Muhammad peace be upon him ascended to the heavens during his night Journey (mi'raj). Ahmed Kanu, Prophet Muhammad led a prayer with the prophets in the heavens not in Al-Aqsa mosque (the prophets are presumably dead up in the heavens at the time). - You don't have to touch the Black rock in Hajj, at least according to Sunni Islam. It's impossible for everyone to touch it anyways because how crowded the place is at Hajj time. I wouldn't do it. Hope this helps and love your videos Keith
+braitrainnng and the fairyland flourishes. so this creature you speak of, did she travel at the speed of light? because if it (which is impossible) they would spend about 100000 years or so just to get through our milky way galaxy. btw I'm a cultural Muslim so I'm not hating, just saying
oh you mean that small state during the middle ages and early modern period that never spread out from Italy (thus only ruled over Italians), was never centrally unified, and allowed a great level of autonomy for the princes that were its vassals, yup I've heard of it.
I know a great deal about it, but why don't you enlighten me. I'm sure you are able to do more than just ask very vague questions without getting to a point.
I'm taking a world 🌎 religion class sometimes is hard to understand some points reading the books so I have to say thank you for your videos, I love your channel so much
please Sir, if you are going to talk about Islam then you should respect their beliefs and showing a fake picture of Prophet Muhammed Peace be upon him , is kinda humiliating for Islam ! i like watching your vedios; however, you should avoid such mistakes
No Religion is particularly moral, and the Judaic religions are probably some of the most backward. However, I wish more people were nuanced in their analyses of them. Muhammed was a violent conqueror, and Islam is very much a product of its time. However, when contrasted with pre-Islamic Arabic culture, it was progressive in some areas. In fact, when Muhammed became the leader of Medina, he wrote a constitution that defended freedom of religion, and protected Medinan Jews.
You must have some facts about his life to say this and the sources of his life are found in the Hadeeths (Narrations) of those who knew him best like his wives and Companions and they are preserved down to the way he used the restroom. so you are untruthful and biased to say this sir. He couldn't read or write so again you should speak without knowledge. And freedom is not absolute not even in western so-called democracies. Free To or Free From is the real matter. Justice is the key concern in Islam Not freedom
Good video, but letme point out a few mistakes, the picture that you have shown at the start depicts ALI (shia version of islam display that portrait in their mosques) not Muhammad PBUH. Its forbidden to portray the Prophet in pictoral form in Islam.
just for your information, Muhammad (s.a.w) wasn't the 'founder' of Islam. He was just the last messenger to promote this idea of the oneness of God (Allah). Prophets before were Muslim and Islam existed before. Islam means 'Submission to God' and Muslim means 'Submitter to God'. So Prophets before such as Adam, Noah, Abraham were promoting this Oneness of God and Submitting to the one true creator so this itself is 'Islam'. So It's kinda wrong to say Muhammad found Islam, but you can say he was the last messenger of Islam to bring people to the right Path.
Huge mistake, its totally forbidden in the Islam to picture Mohammed, this picture behind you is from a islamic sect. Just for your information! You also forgott that science was very endorsed in the Islam, specially in Al-Andalus (South Spain), they also brought us the number Cero and the numbers which was accepted by a Christian Pope during the 13rd Century. Also, the Quran is also the continuing of Christianity and they also wrote the lost books of Henoc, the prophet before the diluvian catastrophe. And last but not least, The phrase was also wrong my friend, its says there is no more than Allah and Mohammed is his last Prophet, of course other Islamic sects would say differently lol!
Tino Trivino -- Quran is definitely not a continuity of Christianity. In the new testament it warned of false prophets. That is why we don't believe in Mohammed let alone called him a prophet. Islam is not a religion of peace.
Alx Progrmz nothing different like jews believe jesus as false messiah. Christians are same. Except jews & muslims knows their one god is same while christians have 2extra.
U should've muted the music in this video because it's Haram.. lol. (Let me beat myself ) Edit: and no picture or visualization of the prophet is extremely prohibited.
You conveyed the message very well, but: 1. Depiction of Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] is forbidden, imaginary images may end up being worshipped. 2. The Christian monk you mentioned had no effect on the prophet because Mohammad was 12 years old the time he met with this monk, and the revelation came to him when was 40, he [PBUH] knew neither how to read nor to write as the majority of the people in that era did. The story of that monk is: When Muhammad (ﷺ) was about 12 years old, he accompanied his uncle Abu Talib on a trade journey to Syria. On their trade journey, they met a Christian monk by the name of Bahira, who lived a simple life in a monastery which contained ancient sacred texts that were not available anywhere else. He noticed that this caravan was different; there was something special about it. He decided to invite people to a meal and find out more. When Bahira saw the face of Muhammad he was delighted for he was aware of the scriptures of the arrival of a mighty prophet and he could see the signs on the young boy. He asked him a series of questions. Bahira approached Abu Talib and revealed to Abu Talib that Muhammad would be a great prophet one day. He said that when he had seen the caravan in the distance there was a cloud hanging over them, which was shading them from the great heat of the desert. When the caravan had stopped under a tree the cloud had also stopped above them. 3. Fasting makes us sense the need of poor, and tests our honesty because no one can know if you've fasted or not. 4. Zakat (Charity): You have to pay 2.5% of cash savings (the equivalent of 87.5 grams of gold) over one lunar year that are in excess of the nisab(a Muslim's total savings and wealth above a minimum amount) The collected amount should be paid to the poor and the needy, Zakat collectors, recent converts to Islam, those to be freed from slavery, those in debt, in the cause of Allah and to benefit the stranded traveler, in order to reduce the class gap. "Just as ablutions purify the body and salat purifies the soul (in Islam), so zakat purifies possessions and makes them pleasing to God."
The Islamic Empire spread very early. But, the weird part about it is that the early warriors did not convert people by force. The earliest Caliphate had the idea that only Arabs should be Muslims, just like Israelites could only be Jewish. It took a really long time for the people in the Caliphate to convert, but usually it was done because the people had a similiar religion
@Indominus Rex Same as all other monotheistic religions. Fuck all of them. If any of the monotheistic relgions are real, I ask on their prophets/angels/gods to remove this comment.
Muslims do not believe the religion was founded by Muhammad. It always bothered me that it was explained that way in class. Like you mentioned, Muslims believe in other prophets (Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus etc).. However, Muslims do not believe that Jesus was a Christian or Moses was of the Jewish Faith. Muslims believe that all Prophets came with the same faith and preached THE SAME Theological MESSAGE. Muhammad came with the same message as the un-corrupted messages of Jesus and Moses (and so many other Prophets).
hmm i was thinking of something? if the 3 books of God which are the Bible, Torah, and the Qur'an are set to worship him, and they all have a beautiful message. Yet mankind comes in and change the image totally making all 3 religions fight against each other. Christianity against Jews, Islam against Jews, Christianity against Islam. is that really what God wanted us? well after all we are all human beings, and we will always mess things up, forgetting what "GOD" true message is. shame on the humankind
CluedIn No you can keep both.Yes you have the freedom to practice your religion and no one have the right to stop you from doing that but everyone does not have the obligation to respect your practice. When you want others to obey what your religion dictates that is no longer freedom it is encroachment into others freedom. Criticising a religion do not stop you from practicing it.
Ahmed Al-Razig please treat women as equal to a man as I see it as offensive if you don't. Lmao!!😂😂 I'm only joking. I'm a man and men don't get upset if you hurt their feelings. The Quran is very clear that Muslims should never take infidels (non Muslims) as friends... Rather, they are commanded to fight non-Muslims until we become Muslims

Geez why say such hurtful things to a girl

just because several bad people are noticed doesn't mean that an entire nation is bad let's keep it 100
Even as a Christian I believe in this view and it upsets me when people categorize them as bad people
Yeah but when one has disproportionately more bad people, it says something about their beliefs

Here is the summary:
1) First Category is Muslims saying the video is quite accurate but some of them complaining about the depiction of the prophet (if you are a Muslim reading this please note these are from books done by Muslims and that lots of old Turkish and Persian books had similar drawings so it’s really pointless. If you didn’t know Google it or go to an Islamic history museum).
2) Second category is Non-Muslims either claiming the video is false or at least inaccurate (obviously because they think they know more than the Muslims do about Islam)
3) Third Category is the “Jesus is lord” and “Mohammed is a false prophet” group with quotes from the Bible or attempts of character assassination of the prophet Mohammed.
Peace be with you
The best and most underrated comment in the whole comment section, may god bless you ❤️
Peace be with you
I was raised Christian (casual) but I went to the Hagia Sophia mosque in Turkey when I was 11 and oh God was it beautiful and spiritual.

Though I really wanted you to give us some more detail into the sunni/shiaa split! and a lot more stuff, but guess ima have to do some search on my own lol
thankyou for the great content

This is beautiful, thank you
Pretty good summary. Only thing I'd add is Muslims can have wildly different opinions on what Sharia is.
For instance, some Muslims interpret the Quran literally when it says, "Whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." [18:29]
But other Muslims only moderately follow the Quran, so they apparently ignore verses like, "When the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace." [25:63]
Of course, Muslims who say words of peace aren't very exciting, so you'll only hear about the ones executing people for crimes they didn't commit while claiming to follow, "No bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another." [6:164]
Not true Asim either you are knowledgeable about this matter of you're Ignorant about it Saudi Arabia Not Iran represent Islam and The Shari'ah with smaller Nations having some aspects of These Laws implemented.

ALL RELIGIONS ARE BORN OF SOMEONE'S
DESIRE TO BE IN CONTROL.
It's pretty ironic and funny that people fight over religion.
ehhh its way more complex than that.

Thank you, nice video on Islam. Just one mistake there mate, the graves beside the prophet are those of the first 2 Khalifas, not Ali whose grave is in Iraq
- By respect to the Muslims he shouldn't show pictures of the Prophet
- Even the picture that he used shows a man waking up from sleep or seeing something in his dream and that is not correct.
- He was not taking this topic seriously; he almost seemed to sort of having fun; that's the impression I have; to the point that he said "Kabab" instead of "Ka'ba"
( 6:45 mn).

Corrections:
Touching the black stone is not an obligation in Islam.
Mohammed (SA) was told “Read” by angel Gabriel in the Cave of Hira, not to pray, the ruling of praying wasn’t given until later into his prophethood.
You can't show a picture of a prophet u don't even know he looks like
Tha Jewel ha ha ha so funny. But what's the point tho
@@kmelahiboksh7390 it's actually disrespecting a religion. I think one should disrespect another's religion and be understanding.
@@kmelahiboksh7390 The thing of our faith is that we don't like putting a face on things. That is why Allah and Mohammed are faceless, maybe it stems from their actions is what we love. So to see a face is disrespectful to us and to the being you are trying to paint or draw.
You can do whatever you want. It's called freedom.
shut up he is not a god he had a body that had limits like everyone had and still has so chill he is nothing but a human being like everyone
Great video!
BUT...
there are some corrections that must be made:
1- in Islam we believe no man can see Allah but we do believe that some of the Prophets had been directly spoken to by Allah.
Andrew Harris I know right
haven't read any comments and won't just wanted to point out how non biased and excepting the video host is. this is how video explanation should be done. it is a god video, but it would be better without adding the picture of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) . thank you for your amazing effort
@awsm byz You're braindead
I believe the picture deplicts him as being tall when the hadith states he is short and white.
So enlightening, explained so succinctly. I did have to pause the video a couple of times, so much informative information, I would only suggest a couple of pauses...to digest the information.
You explained it better than all my Sunday school teachers
Sahir that’s because he does research and also I assume your Sunday school teachers were Christian and probably didn’t care as much about the other religion.
Good information and I actually learned a few things! I guess my only issue with the video is the picture of Muhammad in the beginning. Muslim's do not believe in showing pictures of Muhammad, I feel this is disrespectful to the faith you are explaining.
You're amazing. Thank you sooooo, so much!
Used in class today, thank you!

3:22 A little correction there: In the Islamic faith, nobody can talk to God, except Moses. Muslims believe that Moses actually talked to God directly and even asked to see Him.

BTW it's pronounced as Khadeejah, not khadijuh, and Kaaba, not kabaa.
So I have a few minor points of contention;
Of course more Muslims live in Southeast Asia. There's an unbelievably high population density, as compared to the Middle East
At no point did you explicitly state that Muhammad was a warlord (although it cracked through as you described his "march on Mecca" with "10,000" under his command).
The Spud of Ages few points of contention,, you're an idiot
The Spud of Ages you've read a lot of fake bs

Keith their is one mistake, Dome of the Rock is not the place Muhammad (saw) was when he went to Jerusalem.. It's was Al-Aqsa mosque..
+Ahmed Kanu ah... Did he ascend though at the Dome?
Maybe from Dome they began their journey towards the skies, i am not sure.. but where he prayed with prophets was Al-Aqsa mosque..
+Ahmed Kanu not disagreeing at all! Trying to decide if I should edit and reupload. I thank you for calling attention to it.

Very informative as always. Well done from an Irish fan!

You should not show the picture of our last prophet (PBUH)
The warthog on The Lion King?
just for your information, Muhammad (s.a.w) wasn't the 'founder' of Islam.
Alx Progrmz These are all just teachings, all religions have emerged by human stories just like telling each other what is right, what is wrong,
Alx Progrmz nothing different like jews believe jesus as false messiah. Christians are same. Except jews & muslims knows their one god is same while christians have 2extra.
Alx Progrmz
talking about new testament that was written hundreds of years after Jesus like ! really ?!!
Is terrorism part of the Quran? Don't answer.
Awesome information!!!👍
U should've muted the music in this video because it's Haram.. lol.
(Let me beat myself )
Edit: and no picture or visualization of the prophet is extremely prohibited.
first music is not Haram , second the video is not meant for Muslims

You conveyed the message very well, but:
The story of that monk is:
When Muhammad (ﷺ) was about 12 years old, he accompanied his uncle Abu Talib on a trade journey to Syria.
4. Zakat (Charity): You have to pay 2.5% of cash savings (the equivalent of 87.5 grams of gold) over one lunar year that are in excess of the nisab(a Muslim's total savings and wealth above a minimum amount)
The collected amount should be paid to the poor and the needy, Zakat collectors, recent converts to Islam, those to be freed from slavery, those in debt, in the cause of Allah and to benefit the stranded traveler, in order to reduce the class gap.
"Just as ablutions purify the body and salat purifies the soul (in Islam), so zakat purifies possessions and makes them pleasing to God."
Explain how Islam was spread!!!
@Indominus Rex and deception
Indominus Rex Christianity and Judaism was spread by force
@Indominus Rex Same as all other monotheistic religions. Fuck all of them. If any of the monotheistic relgions are real, I ask on their prophets/angels/gods to remove this comment.
The children, womans, elders, poors, animal and trees shall not be destroyed... That is Islam rule
Was it founded by Ishmael?
hmm i was thinking of something? if the 3 books of God which are the Bible, Torah, and the Qur'an are set to worship him, and they all have a beautiful message.
Q MAN rocks Some idiotic ignorant people reformed the bible
and the torah but quran wasn't reformed, the last man who tried to reform it was killed
Calm down. Theres no god
Good video although what happened to your head and whats the song called when it goes la lalala?!
please dont picture of our prophet pbuh as we see this as an offence
Ahmed Al-Razig freedom of expression bitch.
I also find it offensive that you get upset like a woman. Just kidding. If you want to act like a woman I don't care. You can even dress like one and you can have sex with other men. I do not care. It is your life and you can live how ever you want. I have one last question. If a picture of your profit is offensive how do you know what he looks like?
@@bricktop6216 Women are treated as women in Islam, you need to stop treating your women as whores and sex objects!
Freedom of expression until its about your Jewish masters, then its "Hate" speech all the sudden ;)
@@marklight1690 so your saying women are treated equally in islam is this what your saying mr mark light?
Nice video but you got some information wrong like the last pillar is not a must. It's for people who can afford it. And we don't have a picture of any prophets. Otherwise good video. Keep up the good work
