ah tomos.. I had a couple targa lx's back in highschool. In NJ, one could get a moped license at 15.. A full two years earlier than a drivers license. They were all over my town, the model i mentioned in particular. My daily driver was pretty modded out.. 70cc, pipe, played with different sprockets, jetting, ect. It was going 60mph at one point but the welds started popping pretty quickly. the others I had were purchased dirt cheap as parts bikes. I swear I had to fix that thing on a weekly basis.. by the end, I had no rear brake, it was a patchwork of different colors with no more plastic anywhere, different headlight on homemade brackets, and the tank wobbled around freely. My homemade "free flowing intake filter" (an open piece of pvc that pulled air from under the tank.. theres clean air under there, right?) had left the cylinder horribly scored and it I was lucky to hit 40. hills were another huge obstacle by then. Luckily I got my real license soon after.. Still have a real good scar on my knee from sliding out on a gravel road late at night.

That’s awesome, I wish my community had a moped shop like yours. I’d love to see all kinds of people ripping around on scoots. We’ve got a population of around 10k and maybe 5 scooter riders and I’m the only one on a vintage lol

You don't ask her you just start doing it, she'll be mad but if she's a keeper she will let you continue while giving you hell until you let her ride it, then she will want one.

I'm from Romania and I own a moped Hydramat gearbox out of 77 I think,and I used it for about 10 years until three years ago and it thread was wiped on the cylinder head and other minor problems. I was looking for a service in Romania, maybe I can recondition it and about how much money will cost me.because I know that the original parts cost a lot, maybe too much for me. but I found nothing. Congratulations! You may reconditioning these wonderful mopeds ?.

I own a Tomo Racing TT (Black and green) and was hoping for some advice on recommendation on parts to increase the over all speed of the bike any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
The TOMOS cylinder is pretty fantastic. With a pipe upgrade, with airbox modification for more air flow and Upjet, you can get a lot more speed
@@MopedProblems Would love a detailed parts name/brands so I can shoot off onto the web to look at parts cost if that's ok. Such as specific recommend pipe upgrade.

There's a high pitch noise coming from the front end of my tomos any specifics on why it's making this noise?
Front end like the forks or wheel? Or top end like the cylinder?

Question, do yall have custom throttle n cable lengths for if someone wanted to put some apes on it? Legit question. I have a set of apes n nothing to use them on 😂😂😂
I want to purchase a Tomos Streetmate or a Moto City Scooter. Neither are available. Impossible to find a moped or scooter with pedals (needed for a 15 yr old with a moped license in NJ.)

hey Pete good evening, coming to you from the Bronx. I need to to know something my Peugeot 103sp wiring, it's a 1978 model and with everything still original down to french Michelin tires with less than 800 miles on it. I have an MBK CDI for it I have a headlight and parking light working but no brake light, I removed the reactance coil due to not needing it anymore all the bulbs are 12 volt now I have the correct wiring diagram for it and a little bit of confusion. if you need the diagram itself, let me know. thanks in advance Pete, stay well.

so those sprints are all custom and not a standard model made by the Tomos factory ?!
They are custom, but the customers wanted them to be replicated just like TOMOS’s last run of bikes. Models from the TOMOS factory are not being made right now

Do you guys have a dual sport Tomos moped yet ? That would be cool. Or could you guys build a Trail moped..somthing like the Honda Trail 90, if so I may have you guys build one for me. A lightweight Trail Tomos Moped ! Im also very interested in your up and coming Electric moped with a tomos Gearbox....GENIUS guys !

How I get in contact with you guys
Hello, I have a Tomos ST and all of a sudden my pedals just spin freely, they don’t spin the wheel when I pedal and I can’t kick start it. Every time I want to ride I have to bump start it. Do you have any idea what this could be. Please let me know thanks

Why do you like tomos so much? I am from former yugoslavian state and moped mechanic too. There is so much better mopeds like puch or sachs hercules.

"Welcome back" I was never here in the first place... "I'm in a tee shirt." Who gives a damn? "We haven't had any customers today." I can see why. I'd never do business with you. I can see getting a moped out on a first run and it would fall all apart. Pretty useless video.
