Not all fixtures have a shut off but definitely should. Also you don't need to take that handle off.

I agree. You don't have to take the handle off, but I think he was trying to show the nut that needed to be tightened for those who have no idea what their doing like this 55 year old grandma! Got it fixed BTW....yahooo!!! 😁

Thank you so much! Now I don’t need to change the whole thing, my husband just passed away and I don’t wanna spend money for plumbers so I am doing everything my own and its hard sometimes so i just UA-cam stuff and everything seems so confusing and complicated and I need to buy some of the tools and came across your vid and this thing is so helpful, thank you so much!!! 🙏🤗💕

All these folks being negative. No you don't have to take the handle off. But you won't break the plastic handle if someone inexperienced slips off with a wrench, and you can see if there is a drip so much easier. If you gotta be that way then this video isn't for you. Bo is a national treasure and should be treated as such.

Add to the advice, every 6 months, turn the valve off and on several times. Helps eliminate build-up, and when you need the value to turn off, it will. Having problems with it turning all the way off, do the same.

Another dad comment, That usually will Not fix it! the leak is due to the rubber gasket (mounted on a stem) being deteriorated inside, you can use a multi turn valve stem repair kit to fix it, not quite as fast or easy but it works. I just did it yesterday,
