DPK12 I don’t think it’s boring at all, we’ll see tougher and more amazing shots, as well as golfers getting exposed. Accuracy will be rewarded this year
WOW!!!! this make me want to go to the range now!!! i just played my best round of golf ever but i doubt i could break 100 here. this is pure craziness!!! Can't wait!!
Wow. What a great overview. These greens are spectacular. The amount of shots being guarded by trees makes this a really unique challenge, I hope the can capture that during the event.
I love A.W. Tillinghast designs, lucky enough there's a muni he designed in my city. The 3rd hole has 4 fairway bunkers and 4 additional bunkers protecting the highly elevated green, it's a literal fortress. I love the sloping square greens though, they're incredibly unique.
I like Bryson! Transit, slide rule, compass, barometer and level in hand....it's a course made for a scientist. As methodical as he is, I think he'll figure out the greens "better than most".
To be honest that routing is a little bit boring, i think. Every hole/fairway looks the same in this video. The green is were it all comes down to, i think.
Winged Foot would give Bethpage a run for it's money for a tougher golf course. The greens are all over the place here. This will be a wide open major.
Please do st Andrews, AUGUSTA, chambers bay, tpc harding Park, friars head, royal st george, shinecock hills, erin hills, spyglass hill, national Golf club or america, olympic club, tpc scottsdale, merion, seminole, kiawah island, shadow Creek, muana lani, tpc danzante bay, royal portrush, carnustie, harbor Town, Del monte Golf club, half moon bay, congressional, murfeild, valhalla, olympia fields, pinehurst, riveria, Mission hills, bandon dunes. One of those would be great.
- ... Prior to range finders ....bunkers well short of the green, were put there to throw a golfer off. When assesing the distance and hence club selection , peering over a bunker to the green gave the perspective of the green being closer to the golfer than it actually is. Doubt. A shot killer.
If the greens are running fast and firm then yeah the scores are gonna be insanely high with those greens but if it’s pretty soft green I think we will see some under par scores
I don't see any way even one player can finish 4 days of play under par; not on this course, and not this week. The players are looking at a course that measures 7500 yards, par 70, with narrow fairways, thick rough, and some of the largest, most undulated greens east of the Mississippi river. Yeah, short putts may be easy to drop, but finding short birdie putts on this course will be extremely rare. It's a recipe that will draw lots of frustrating shot results, which is great for TV viewing. If you plan your Thursday thru Sunday around watching this tournament you won't be sorry. Let's Goooo !!!!!
I think DJ will open as favorite at 17-2. Rahm and JT probably at 10-1. JT might be my pick. His proximity is good and his poor 1-putting won't matter here as these greens won't allow many 1-putts to anybody.
Interesting how US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau just made the thick rough seem meaningless - and putted like a demon on those slick greens. Winged Foot might have to have a re-think!
Probably what will happen: pin location front green, hit ball 20 feet past hole and putting down hill.... light tap and ball goes 100 feet past hole back onto the fairway 😅
Don't see how difficult this course is. You can't drive the ball to the woods, lake or creek. Fairway is dead flat. The green is a little tricky though. it has a course rating of 75.7 and a slope of 141
just the most beautifully boring course i've ever seen...every hole the same distance...500 yard par 4 after 500 yard par 4...is that golf? for who? two par 3's exactly the same distance... this is the opposite of shot making...no wonder bryson won here, it's custom designed for 'bomb and gouge'...same shot every hole, same club. what a waste of a great opportunity!
Just a straight up hard golf course
Have to agree, boring looking course. Greens will need to be very fast
Absolutely no gimmie holes whatsoever, except for maybe the hole where the green funnels to the center
DPK12 I don’t think it’s boring at all, we’ll see tougher and more amazing shots, as well as golfers getting exposed. Accuracy will be rewarded this year
Greens are crazy! This gonna be a great US Open.
DJ and his brother are going to need an hour to read these greens lol.
Hey they can’t read but whatever they’re doin is workin 😂
Bryson will need his calculator
Just thinking about DJ staring between his brother's legs for that long is giving me PreTSD.
June that will make some boring TV
@@alnibodycare 1 major
These videos are so good. They have inspired me with the course designer on PGA 2k21. And I played 18 holes the other day, first round in 2 years.
@@scotttild I'm not trying to remake real courses. The fun for me is making my own courses etc.
PLEASE keep making every hole at.. videos!! LOVE THEM
Dear lord there is going to be some high scores lol.
The winning score was -7
@@maxcaysey2844 it was -6 and the next best score was even. This was during fall after several days of rain and no patrons on the course.
Beautiful golf course. I can’t wait to watch the US Open here. It will be an exciting one!
I love these videos and the commentator has a great voice !!
Agree, Ron Whitten has a great voice and very knowledgeable
Thank God for flying drones and Golf Digest!!!
What a stunning course. This one is gonna be HARD
Please keep doing more of these!!!
love the square greens
WOW!!!! this make me want to go to the range now!!! i just played my best round of golf ever but i doubt i could break 100 here. this is pure craziness!!! Can't wait!!
Very few scratch players would break 100 on this course in US open set up.
If you watch any of Golf Digest's course overviews and arent immediately overcome by the majesty of the game then nothing will thaw your frozen heart.
Wow. What a great overview. These greens are spectacular. The amount of shots being guarded by trees makes this a really unique challenge, I hope the can capture that during the event.
its gonna be one heck of a championship cant wait to see how it unfolds
Hole#3: "The bunker on the left is not in play and is asthetic only"
Me: Nah, I could end up in there.
Challenge accepted
Aesthetic only for 1 week every 15 years, the other 14 years and 51 weeks, it’s absolutely in play.
These videos are absolutely awesome. Thanks a lot.
This is going to be so good can't wait ⛳
Going to be a great test this week. Looking forward to watching the challenge. Need to play here one of these days.
Awesome visual and beautiful description...wonderful. Thanks for this
Excellent presentation! going to be fun to watch
What a long challenge this will be for them. That’s a tough track
These videos are great! Looks brutal. I like the traditional courses for a US Open
Scott Tilden totally agree when it comes to Bethpage Black. I really like that course, want to play it someday.
This will be my first time watching a us open looks like it’s gonna be a good one
As always great video!
"You better be able to hit fairways as well" * Bryson "hold my orgain''
Great stuff, thanks. Put me down for a million. I'll need at least 2 lunch breaks, maybe a nap.

Which course?
Apparently almost , love them golf course s
Great video!!
Needed one of these!!
Golf Digest giving us another good reason to remember Miller other than his constant reminder of 63 on Sunday at Oakmont.
Can't wait 😍
Narrator: it is often said this course is a second shot course
Me: goes to place a bet on Collin morikawa to win
That 15th green is looking gnarly
Shot a 79 here. Great course!!
Lmao... ladies tees?
Aweomse video
Holes 1, 6, 9, 10, 11, 15 and 18 all stand out to me. Honorable mention to 2, 3 and 14!
I think it's unlikely the winning score will be under par for the US open
I like Bryson! Transit, slide rule, compass, barometer and level in hand....it's a course made for a scientist. As methodical as he is, I think he'll figure out the greens "better than most".
This is so not a bryson course

Wrong
This is gonna be a bit messy, but fun to watch........😜

So is the cost!!! $$$$$$$ vs $ Lol 😂
Who ever has there drives and putting in order this weekend will win
that's opposite of what the analyst said
Analyst are never right lol
This and Pinehurst #2 are arguably the two toughest courses in pro golf.
DeChambeau has won at both.
Looks pretty straightforward. 9 hc but like to think i could break 70 here
Guys will be teeing off at 6:50 AM. It will be 57 degrees. Those par 4s are going to be playing like they are 600 yards.

I hope score of win this year is something par or +scores (+7 or even higher would be perfect 😁😁😁
Those slopes on the greens! I’d have about 80 putts.
I feel like Biltmore forest country club is similar to this built wise
- ... Prior to range finders ....bunkers well short of the green, were put there to throw a golfer off. When assesing the distance and hence club selection , peering over a bunker to the green gave the perspective of the green being closer to the golfer than it actually is. Doubt. A shot killer.
Yeah... Definitely need to put the maple back, next to #16 approach. The hole looks completely open and lop-sided without it.
U S Open = 4 days of whining and cursing! Priceless. Wingedfoot 4 the win.
a near perfect golf course
Frankly, Winged Foot's East Course greens are even harder than the West!
The winner will be +5 at best. This course is bloody premeditated murder.
If the greens are running fast and firm then yeah the scores are gonna be insanely high with those greens but if it’s pretty soft green I think we will see some under par scores
They are very firm right now just played it last weekend

rptotaro we shall see
And it's going to be chilly, ball will not be traveling like it does in August.
put me down for 5.....putts
Seems like you need to be a bunker player with all those deep green side sand traps!
Every hole of my gf allowed many men to play their putter, except me. LMFAO.
Well looks like my prediction of JT was good so far. Watch out for Patrick Reed out there though
Maybe 9 is a birdie hole? MAYBE 😀
Good
Cmon BIG PHILLY i wanna see the lefty go nuts out here.
He will be living in the rough
Scotland for the win.
This course has an Alice in Wonderland vibe.

I'd be yelling "FOUR" all day on this course
its colin montgomorie time
so who's' the jackass that apparently came in and made all these changes to the original design? this course is beautiful.
Wide in ‘the’ front, narrow in ‘the’ back.
If you can't drive the ball 300+ yds.... you are screwed
Who can't now a days
Interesting how US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau just made the thick rough seem meaningless - and putted like a demon on those slick greens. Winged Foot might have to have a re-think!
Was the dude that designed this trolling?
Winner gonna be 4 over par
Probably what will happen: pin location front green, hit ball 20 feet past hole and putting down hill.... light tap and ball goes 100 feet past hole back onto the fairway 😅
The green in 15 looks unplayable lmao. Go long and you’re putting down a hill. End up short your putt can easily roll back to you.
I think it would be cool to have a young kid blow away the competition at this open. Go 10 under while everyone else is E or over par.
10 over par wins it
Everything is so square and 90 degree angles..
15 is ridiculous
Identical to 7th at west course Wentworth
Don't see how difficult this course is. You can't drive the ball to the woods, lake or creek. Fairway is dead flat. The green is a little tricky though. it has a course rating of 75.7 and a slope of 141
No way the winner is under par
winning score will be at least -4 or -5
CURRENTLY.. tiger can’t putt nor hit fairways with his driver.. FACTS .. hope he makes the cut!!
Most iconic par 3 in all of golf? No it bloody isnt 🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂
The membership must be insufferable.
quaker ridge is the better course

Albeit not a popular opinion but I don’t like the look of the course all the holes are stacked on top of each other.
True, not popular!
after watching this video I still don't get the hype, It's like a local muni but in great shape. boring and overrated course in my opinion.
My thoughts also.
