Really like this. I'm always impressed at what folk can do with a couple of simple boxes when they think outside the square (or should that be outside the box!).
I meant to comment on this video 4 years ago, but this is what inspired me to buy a biscuit and vermona mk3. I sold the vermona a couple years ago, but still have the biscuit (never letting that thing go). I haven't encountered a more disgusting yet buttery and nasty combination than these two pieces of hardware. No other drum machine sounds this killer going through the biscuit. Therefore, I'm considering buying a vermona yet again!
This is amazing. I was considering between Vermona and MFB Tanzbär but i think this baby is what is "me" the most. Plus i read a lot how difficult Tanzbär is to operate, but then again this baby doesn't have patch memory but i think sound quality is top notch.
@pokeyasdf you can have whatever you want triggering the DRM: soft sequencer or hard sending midi notes, or CV triggers depending on the version of the DRM
The title should come with a warning. That is heavy enough to give a pair of speakers tinnitus. Some very interesting organic sounds coming out that little black box 👌
@@sp3ct3rsd3mos I know I'm a little late to the conversation, but you can sell them for around $700 - $1000 now. I think I paid like $600 for mine 5 years ago. I was recently in a bit of financial trouble and almost had to sell it, but I just couldn't. There's a very small used market for these, so there not really hard to find yet. However, I anticipate that the price will continue to really rise over the next decade as they get harder to find. I'll never part with mine. It's been the ONLY constant of my studio over the last decade.
Correct me if I am wrong but I am almost positive it doesn't have a sequencer. You need an external sequencer or a DAW to sequence the drum sounds. It is not like Machinedrum, a 909, TR-8, Tanzbar, etc. which have onboard sequencers
The best DRM1 video on UA-cam. Your showcases are the reason I purchased it.
same

I'm even later to the party, 11 years on, this is superb!

fabulous !
i know I'm late to the party but damn this was dope!
You can never be too late to a party if it's still going on 🥳🥳
At last, a rich demo, musically applied of Biscuit, Vermona sounds good too! Congrats!
Only the best gear can make it into my studio! And I just ordered the vermona!!

I'm thinking to sold the Biscuit but I feel like I'll regret it for ever :(
Love it!!!!
Love it. Has a Skinny Puppy BRAP vibe.
Dude, you've post some awesome DRM1 work for real!
Absolutely fantastic! I'm getting one of each asap!
Good one 🔝
also excellent use of the biscuit. too many folks just kill their sound with it, it can be a subtle box, with tons of flexibility.

Tanzbär is meh honestly
Dope again !!

Sounds great!

Thank You.
The title should come with a warning.

I'd kill for an OTO machine biscuit. (_ _)
Nice tones man!
this is cool sounds a bit like something on dmz or hyperdub around mid noughties
beutiful
super...
OH MY FUCK. this was a delight. thank you.
Do you put any compression
or eq on it.
what is used for sequencing the DRM?
A sequencer
you are kanding ray?
: D
What do you sequence with?
Sick! Is there a Download?
Are you a member of Santogold ? :) your style remind me "unstoppable" a lot
Damn. Why did my broke ass ever sell my DRM1? This video also really makes me want a Biscuit.
Is this sequenced in Ableton?
how did you sequence?
I'd guess Ableton as he wrote that he uses Live 8 for reverb.
does vermona reads midi velocity?
y
This is off it’s head
i wish biscuits werent so stupidly expensive now
what are they running price-wise now that they no longer are making them?

how do you sequence the drum patterns on vermona?

yes it doesn't have sequencer, that was my question, i just wrongly asked, so which external sequencer do you use in this video?
Since he is using (ableton) Live 8 for audio that could be the drum sequencer
!!!!'
nice
