- Komagatake Ropeway is built atop the Senjojiki Cirque directly below Mt. Hokendake (elevation 2,931 meters) in Japan’s Central Alps. The ropeway features Japan’s largest elevation gain (950 meters) and Japan’s highest terminal station (2,612 meters). The ropeway operates year-round, enabling visitors to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Senjojiki Cirque in each of the four seasons.
