This video is a recording from a live 1-on-1 call I had with a student. The goal was to explain the process of finding the most foundational structure of the portrait AKA "the skull". During the demonstration I show the crucial features and block in structure that can be used for portrait painting and drawing of any kind. Comparing a skull to a portrait with annotations reveals the parallels between the two. Finally we draw a portrait, "the skull", together using this block in drawing strategy.

Should have put tracing paper over the skull and drawn the munch face over the skull it would have been easier to see and not such a mess.
