Everyone needs to stop using the word 'racist' to describe this. A bit stereotypical? Yes. But he is not making fun of *any* race in *any* form whatsoever. Is he portraying this character in a negative way? No. Is he in any way oppressing any races? No.
Lots of actors and actresses often play characters which are from a different part of the world to them. An example - British actors/actresses often play American characters, and no one calls them racist.
Stop trying to find offence in everything.

So the comment section really makes me lose hope in humanity. Stop looking for complexity. This video is simply to relax people, nothing more. He was not trying to be racist or biblical or blasphemous or even offensive. He was trying to relax his viewers. This has nothing to do with the Bible at all, it does not contradict the Bible or go against God in any way. Enough wars have been fought over God already, we don't need you to contribute. This is also not racist. How could it be? He never states that he is posing as a certain race or tribe or anything. For all you know, he created his own ritual, his own language, just for the sake of pleasing his viewers. I highly doubt he went and took the time to copy or mimic any race just to do a video. Everybody just chill the fuck out and enjoy the relaxing video.

Its because he is mimicking a culture that he is not truly apart of. Whether he is trying to be respectful or not, he is still attempting to remake it when it is not relevant to him. Its like a white dude walking around with a native american cheif's feathered headdress, it has a strong meaning to it, and for some white dude to walk around with it is a huge insult to the culture. This dude is just taking a culture that is sacred to some people, and turning it into pure entertainment.

i like how you say " somesing", that's how my parents used to say it when we moved and they were trying to learn English.
All the hand movements and the layered sounds still give me tingles stronger than any video on UA-cam. The Shaman video is a close second, but this video almost full body shakes. Also, the pseudo-language triggers me, too. Insane.
Also, it's completely possible that this is both effective at inducing ASMR in people, AND it's ethnically stereotyping people as well. We can have both, and people who don't want to look at it that way are ignorant. Sorry (not sorry), but it's the truth.

Kat dolphinwhat Toni is Macedonian, Macedonia is a euro-indo country with heavy Slavic origins. so he's not some "white guy" he has his culture which is what he is emulating here. In Macedonia there is a lot of modern medicine practices that hundreds of thousands of people go to every day. however a huge staple in Macedonia is holistic and spiritual healing. There are shamans, medicine mans and healers just like what he's portraying here due to the high value of superstitions and spiritual energy. And the fact that he speaks with broken English is a bit of a nod to the fact that english is not his parents first language and most likely not his first language.
TL;DR version: He's Macedonian and is role playing as a Macedonian Healer who has moved to a primarily english speaking country.
