Tongatapu is the heart of my life. I Was borned and raised up Tongatapu at East near to the Haamonga. Where my father came from. Thank you for the high lights video so I can see my beautiful and amazing island! 😍❤️🇹🇴
Thank you Zoe for your videos! I have been watching you since this pandemic started in NZ because my family and I really miss home. We can’t travel there as borders are still closed. Thank you again! ‘Ofa atu 🙂
Hey Zoe! I’m Natascha from Switzerland, one of those people that got stuck in Tonga with you. I got home home by the end of April, whereas you decided to stay. I’ve just stumbled upon this channel. This is so cool!! Thank you for letting me walk down memory lane! I hope you are sound and well and of course I wonder where you are right now! All the best!
Thanks for sharing my cousin's cafe. Nice to see they finished the bar and area you had lunch at. Say hi to Pa'ula and lenny and check out their resort. Great video
Past the Ha'amonga there should be two roads or should I say paths. It's a calendar for the old Rulers of Tonga to know when the harvest times of the year so all his defeated neighbor countries contribute their harvest. If not a Kalia or Tongiaki(big canoes) will be visiting that Island lol. Thanks for all great videos and hopefully you enjoyed your stay (:
You should check out the old burial grounds for the ancient kings in Lapaha. Massive coral stones are also used there to form a small pyramid type burial ground. I believe Tonga has very close ties with Egypt in that sense. Although nothing compared to the structures in Egypt. We do however have similar Tongan words as the ancient Egyptians. i.e Ra for Sun is La’ā in Tongan. Anyways. Fun video!
@@ZoeDiscovers well that’s pretty much it then haha. Yes it was. Not much to the small island. Hopefully there’s still things to make your stay more enjoyable. God bless.
My favourite beach that sandy little beach down on the bottom at Hufangalupe I use to take my kids there it is actually a private beach, & my favourite beach hangout on the main island
That 3 headed coconut tree has grown taller since the last time I saw it I think it's sad that they cut down all the coconut trees around it that can make it feel lonely
Beautiful, thank you for sharing our beloved Island, malo 'aupito 🙏
'Ofa atu ❤❤

Before Tasman arrived the island were already named TongaTapu smfh that was ignorant of you
Sorry if I didn’t make that clear - yes he renamed it Amsterdam, then it was changed back again to Tongatapu.
Bet you also believe that Columbus discovered America 😂😂😂 right
@@ZoeDiscovers did Tasman did that? Is that for real? I am Tongan, never heard of that before, hehehehehe 🤣😁
@@tokoraider1942 no it was Polynesia who discovered America before Christopher Columbus, Hehehehe
