    I just installed mine and did a trial run before we head home next week. Easy install and worked perfectly. BTW, the discount code didn't work and shipping was extra from mad ramps direct. E-trailer was a better deal for me that included free shipping. Also, I decided to strap the rear wheels. E-trailer was helpful getting me the correct size wheel straps. I also purchased the storage rack. It's also very well designed. Unless you have their storage solution, the ramps are awkward to store. Great solution!! Thanks

    We just purchased our 1st golf cart. I have a 5.5 foot bed. Cart doesn't fit, so we rent a trailer. I Was looking into making something out of wood, but this is perfect. Will definitely be ordering 1. Thank you

    Thank you, I've done my research and this is definitely my solution also. I can load my cart that is lifted and has nerf bars and the wheel wells don't Interfere as the cart isn't to forward in the truck bed. Also if give me room to store other items in the truck bed as I always carry 5-10 gals diesel with me just in case!

    I was looking to do that same thing with our rig..
    RV 40' + 16" tire + Tow bar + Truck + Ramps
    40' + 16" + 4' + 24' + 4' = 72' 4" total
    That would put me 8' feet 4 inchs over.
    I was told by a DOT officer years ago they can measure from your mirrors to your ramps and that is your total over overall length..

    How about a follow up? Is this still the system you’re using? How much consistent use have these ramps seen? And have you had any failures- so many reviewers hate on these ramps out of fear of failures!
    Thanks!

      Yes I’m still using them. I still love them. I load and transport my cart 1 thousand pound cart about every 2-3 weeks. When I’m not using them. They sit in the bed of my truck. As I don’t have a garage to keep them in. One thing they won’t do is fail. I used a torque wrench when I installed them. The reason why I started using them is one of my previous ramps failed while I was using them. If mine did by chance fail, I’d be on the web buying new ones right away. They are getting a minor amount of surface rust. But very minor and mostly because they are out in the weather 24x7. I hope that helps.

      Hi, It's March of 2022. I still use them and still swear by them. They're still very heavy, but they make it possible for me to take my cart with me while I full-time RV.

    DOT Rules on overhang loads.
    (a) Whenever the load upon any vehicle extends, or whenever any integral part of any vehicle projects, to the rear (4) four feet or more beyond the rear of the vehicle, as measured from the "taillamps", there shall be displayed at the extreme end of the load or "projecting part of the vehicle during darkness", in addition to the required taillamp, "two red lights" with a bulb rated not in excess of six candlepower plainly visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the sides and rear. At any other time there shall be displayed at the extreme end of the load or projecting part of the vehicle a solid red or fluorescent orange flag or cloth not less than 18 inches square.
    (b) There shall be a single flag or cloth at the extreme rear if the projecting load is "two feet wide or less". Two warning flags or cloths are required if the projecting load is wider than two feet. Flags or cloths shall be located to indicate maximum width of loads that extend beyond the sides or rear of the vehicle.
    In short.
    4 feet from taillamps you need 2 lights at night or 2 flags for only day time.
    Its not measured from the bumper or bumper lamps but from the "taillamps"
    Your over all of your rig and truck should also be less then 65 feet or less.. (your ramps could change things for you)
    Hope this helps.

      Hi Lankster, the ramps are Fully DOT approved and there is no need for a flag. They are lit with LED lights for brake, turn, and rear marker. We spent over a year working with DOT to make sure in every category we exceed their standards.

    Do you need an excessive overhang red flag on those Rube Golberg ramps?

    • @RandomBitsRV
      @RandomBitsRV  3 роки тому

      Not according to the manufacture. They’re DOT approved in all 50 states.

    • @RandomBitsRV
      @RandomBitsRV  Рік тому

      I have tie-downs in the bed of my truck. I use 2 ratchet straps and tie down to the back of the cart. Very easy.
