I'll be the second one to comment. THANK YOU, Victor! This is an excellent video and I used it to repair the inoperative air horn on my 1996 Safari Serengeti RV. To make a long story short, I got the RV from my parents, who parked it in their barn about 6 years ago. We got it out and operational a couple of weeks ago and noticed the AIR HORN doesn't, well, didn't work. I searched UA-cam and found your video and watched it the other night. Yesterday I started troubleshooting it. When I would press the horn button, NOTHING. I was able to clean the connectors on the horn relay up front well enough to get 12V on the output of the relay when I pressed the horn button on the steering wheel. I next got up on top to see if I could hear any air coming out of the horns, thinking maybe horns need attention. No air, no sound. I resumed torubleshooting this morning. I found the air tank under the front end and by following the air hose, I found the horn air solenoid. When depressing the horn button, there is 12V (from the horn relay) being sent to the (+) wire of the solenoid, but no action - no clicking, etc. I then opened the connector on the tank side and found I had pressurized air there. Next step, I removed the GROVER air horn solenoid, and sure enough, the metal slug was gummed up and nasty. I cleaned it off, swabbed out the cylinder and cleaned it, and put a few drops of light machine oil on it and put it back together. IT works like a champ now! THANK YOU!!!!
Hello please could you help I have just bought a set of hadley h00977ece air horns brand new. And I'm very disappointed in them not loud at all I have plenty of air pressure 180 psi is there anything I can do to make them louder kind regards
Air horn didn’t blow loud the diaphragm wasn’t the problem with mine, turned out to be air leak between the cab and air horn itself. Cost 54$ for air horn rebuild kit times 2. Wasted 108$ watching this video.
Well, you gotta use common sense. Eliminate the possible causes and go from there. You're not really a problem solver, are you? Of course not, you killed your family cause you wanted a dirty piece of ass.

Gracia, Tocayo! Just bought a triple off Ebay and this was just what I wanted to see. Very simple assembly and mechanisms.
Thank you! Very good tip and explanation.

How can I get parts for my Viair comp-?
Thank you. My solenoid wouldn't close after I honk. I will try to remedy with these steps
My horn is dirty I. The tube of the horn I would like to clean it out, can I spray water in it or will that mess it up? Thanks!
That will mess it up. Unscrew the horn from the bass and then put water in it

My problem was the air pressure 200 psi the solenoid is rated for 180 had to add a pressure reduction valve
My 4 air horns squeal but no diaframs are broken.
I turned the diaframs all over and they worked a couple days and then back to sqealing.
What about a hissing noise
The air is out from the horn but there is no sound so what should I do
Watch the video. He answers that explicitly

Wasted $108 for not diagnosing the actual problem properly before ordering parts.
So much fail. I hope air horns isn't his specialty.
