Very informative, but how about if the winding pitch generator is different.. For example 1 generator 0.66 pitch and 2 generator 0.86 pitch. What happen? And how the prevent the problem?

Can we synchronize 2 different MVA capacity Generators with existing main power Grid switchgear.
We have a 6.6KV system and the plant load is 8MW. Present supply is taken from Government Grid through 33/6.9KV, 15MVA Transformer.
The plant has excess gas, so plan to produce power through 2x1.5MVA, 6.6KV Generators and synchronize with 6.6KV Switchgear and consume the power internally.
Is it possible to share the load as follows:
Transformer - 6MVA
Gen 1 - 1MVA
Gen 2 - 1.2MVA

If you have step up transformers after the 3 generators (that is 400v to 4160V)
How do you take reference Voltage to feedback, at generator side of transformer primary or after the transformer secondary side? I believe it makes sense to take it at secondary via PT fed back to synch panel.

When paralleled, the voltage at the generator terminals will all be the same as the bus voltage. However changing the voltage regulator settings will vary the excitation of each generator, causing the power factor of each generator to differ. With a difference of the power factor between generators a circulating current will result, flowing between the generators. This is detrimental to the operation of the paralleled system, because a portion of the generator excitation (voltage producing) capacity is wasted in circulating current that does not flow to the load and only produces heating in the generator windings.
For this reason most modern voltage regulators are digitally controlled so that they control bus voltage equally.

When DG is in synchronizing mode, voltage of all DG sets will remain same.
During synchronized mode, when we control AVR then reactive power sharing between DG changes.

In this project, we had used PLC control system for auto synchronizing and load management. However we had used a digital check sync relay also along with PLC logic.
