Hey Matt I race S2 to, but just to inform you skusa rules say you can't self weld an exhaust pipe. You can either send it to skusa for them to weld on record or buy a new one. Just wanted to save you from being DQ. Keep the awesome videos coming!
+blair hosie thanks for the tip but realistically I will take the risk over the cost. I understand why they have that rule but I dont think they will care about a small stress crack welded
Great video. You mentioned that you lubricated the bearings. Are you able to manually put grease into your wheel and axle bearings or are you spraying oil onto the bearing? Thank you.
I learned with this video that you dont want to lights to be to close to your face... anyway it will be better next time and I hope you guys enjoy the music
Hey pal looks like your using the harbor freight 4x8 folding trailer. just wondering how that works for you and if you have to take any parts off the kart for it to fit. I see theres no fender on the right hand side...is that to make the kart fit? any details appreciated. keep up the great content.
I have the same interest in finding out more about how the kart fits on his HF trailer (I have the same one). My kart is 56" wide, trailer is 48" . Does he trailer with the kart on the kart stand? Mathew.. please let us know..
Just one more question: Why do shifter karts have this short exhaust in the US? In Germany our exhaust is much lower and longer. Maybe because of the noise restrictions in Germany... Last year they "invented" a new, expensive exhaust, which everybody has to drive just because it isn´t as noisy as the others... "in theory" :D
I wish iracing would add Buttonwillow and Willow Springs to the lineup of tracks! Karts are like guns always cleaning and tweeking! Great video! Quick question, are you posting any Star Mazda setups in the forms? Tks Bud!
I'm saving for buying a secondhand kart for my son, don't have the money to get ripped on a failure engine or something! Don't have any experience from fixing with karts. I try to learn cause I have to fix most by myself. Can you please make a video of what to look for when you're buying a kart that is used? The kart I wanna buy is a Rotax Max senior 2016 chassie and engine that is supposed to be upgraded to an Evo, but I don't know how to see that! And the engine book does'nt seem to be found! What should I listen and look for to feel safe buying it? I would really be thankful if you could help me, best regards from Jeppe 🙂🤙🏼
If you are located in a place where it is a popular class, run X30 senior. Rotax isn't a very fair class, they are sealed engines and performance varies greatly between engines. When you buy one it's a lottery ticket for performance. Teams with lots of money will buy sometimes 20+ engines to find 2 or 3 good ones and sell the rest. In the X30 class performance difference isn't as big of a problem. It still varies and the teams with lots of money will get their engine rebuilt more often but it's less of an issue.
+True Racer Oh haha alright I wasn't entirely sure. I'd seen the tab when I was uploading the videos from the local indoor karting track but didn't feel like putting in the effort for something that casual. I'll check it out when I get my prep video done
Lukas Randerath take it apart and clean the filter house with WD40 and too the filter take some of your fuel from your fuel tank and put in a bowl and get your filter real soaked ind and use air pressure too really get all the grease and stone off and then just let it dry for 3-5 minutes and it all good to go
+True Racer sounded like you were doing commentary as you were driving I think it's really cool so I was wondering if you had a microphone in your helmet to pick up your voice! Although all that talking may have been the reason you span out so much! 😉 haha!
+Daniel Jones yes and no. WD40 is a water displacer I am saying lubricating in the sense of it not rusting the trully best stuff to use is the WD40 with lithium grease as a residual lubricant but I did not have that with me.
Enjoy your videos, good stuff!!!
A very good How-To video about keeping your kart clean after races. I'll make sure that the KartPulse Nation gets wind of this. ;)
+Davin Sturdivant awesome man I appreciate that

What engine are you using (awesome content watching from the uk)

+Racer Fizzi not sure exactly we do run a dif engine. We run the Honda cr 125 and you guys run the KZ

+T1MERUNN3R 414 totally agree I know they have willowsprings scanned but realistically they are not popular enough tracks to finish
+True Racer Maybe we'll see Buttonwillow in Kart Kraft, fingers crossed. Now go kill'm at Spa Buddy!!!!
Good luck for your next race :D
+Vítor Brás thanks man

Where do you find your music from? I might get my first video out soon (I live in Wisconsin, racing wont start until the 20th)
+TIATO I get all my stuff from youtube itself check under the "create" tab and go to audio
+True Racer Oh haha alright I wasn't entirely sure. I'd seen the tab when I was uploading the videos from the local indoor karting track but didn't feel like putting in the effort for something that casual. I'll check it out when I get my prep video done
pretty cool, altho i think brazing the radiator pin hole would be a better fix than jb weld
+SimRacin Jordan yea long term wise probably but the jb weld fix is cheap and can be down quickly at the track if need be
Great video True Racer, love watching it!!
+Ethan Warren cheers glad to hear that man
Is there some where you Can learn to build a KZ2
TM 10b shifter kart ? And learn to rebuild the eninge
not that I know of man
Okay thanks
what was the name,of the stuff you said you liked in,the can that you said smelled like, skittles
the is called "Suspension Clean" I think it is made by maxima
how are you satisfied with Praga? is it Tacho? .. nice to see another piece of czech engineering over there in big world ;)
+r6201sk no it is a dragon. it works for me still getting used to it
How do you clean the filter in the silencer ? (I have a dd2)
Lukas Randerath take it apart and clean the filter house with WD40 and too the filter take some of your fuel from your fuel tank and put in a bowl and get your filter real soaked ind and use air pressure too really get all the grease and stone off and then just let it dry for 3-5 minutes and it all good to go
you mean the packing in the silencer? It's super cheap if you buy from Moose moto cross... just replace it.
did you have a microphone in your helmet for this one matey?
+Rob Stubbs ummmmm you have confused me
+True Racer sounded like you were doing commentary as you were driving I think it's really cool so I was wondering if you had a microphone in your helmet to pick up your voice! Although all that talking may have been the reason you span out so much! 😉 haha!
haha yes I did have a mic in my helmet for that video and you could be right
I was under the impression that WD40 isn't a lubricant and is used to clean surfaces before a lubier lubricant is applied.
+Daniel Jones yes and no. WD40 is a water displacer I am saying lubricating in the sense of it not rusting the trully best stuff to use is the WD40 with lithium grease as a residual lubricant but I did not have that with me.
Simple Green....musta been in the Military....went through cases upon cases of that stuff in Army...
+Thomas Reynolds seems legit. that and pledge are my best friends
What year of Praga is that
2015
i don't have chain on my kart i have a rotax dd2
Any current racing kart is chain driven. No kart has ever used a differential and probably never will
+iceshard989 look up rotax dd2 have no chain
+iceshard989 Rotax DD2 doesn't have a chain, the axle just runs through the engine. Idek where you got a differential from with his comment
+Tim Ver Elst interesting
+True Racer on dd2 are two gears and a neutral
in my country those radiateurs are like 90 euros xd
I’m a welder to lol
I call bullshit by looking at your yt
