This is called a bootstrap paradox its basic premise is that an object exists because it does with no true origin to the events. Let's say one day I find a movie on my table at home I watch the movie love it and want my past self to get the chance to watch it so I send the movie back in time to him he watches it and does the same, the movie would lack a true origin.
@@christophercrafte this is like John conner from the terminator, he grows up to become a leader of the resistance against the machines, but when they send a terminator back in time to kill his mother before he's born, John sends back man to protect her who ultimately becomes his father and they destroy the terminator in the past, except a small piece of it is left behind which goes on to become the template for making the terminators in the first place. It's the same concept of something having no first origin but I find it more interesting that their purpose is to destroy each other, but instead they each create the events for both to exist in the first place.
@@basedostrich The problem is, that's assuming that's the first iteration of events. The real truth behind terminator time travel is that the timeline could have been altered any number of times before reaching that point. Just like how John Conner defeats the machines again, only for them to send back a terminator again, and successfully kill him. In fact, it's unlikely that John Conner could even be born again on the second go around, because his birth is dependent on everything taking place exactly the same. If Sarah Conner sleeps with Reese even a second delayed, the mechanics of conception could mean that the exact sperm that he came from, doesn't actually make it to the egg, meaning an entirely different person is conceived. Even if they are raised the same way, too many events will have changed for the events to take place that leads up to skynets downfall, therefore skynet wins. The point is, paradox's aren't necessarily paradox's. It's just we don't know all the timeline changes that came before, in order to cause something that looks like a paradox but isn't.
It's pretty nice seeing a movie able to properly show the time loop theory done correctly. Most movies that use the time loop theory to portray their story tend to end up relying on creating a paradox to solve the issue or stopping at about the point where the woman died and just rolling with it as what's done is done. That was a pretty clever twist with the 3rd guy filling in the gaps caused by the 2nd guy, ie. making it so the woman looked like his wife. It's fresh seeing the guy come to terms with the fact that you can't alter the past (in this theory) and rather than keep fighting to change anything he adapted, realized the mystery behind his wife seemingly dying the 2nd round, putting the pieces together about the ladder as a divergence, and making the woman appear to be his wife to finally end the loop.

Good lord, what is up with the voice? It sounds like it keeps getting faster and faster! Anyway, interesting movie. I like how well it executed the time travel. It is nice to see a self-consistent universe for once, instead of the many-worlds interpretation of time travel. To the non-nerds, there are two ideas on how time travel might work. Self-consistency maintains that the past cannot be changed, even with time travel. On the other hand, the many-worlds interpretation maintains that when one travels through time, they are actually traveling to another universe. Any changes in this other world would be permanent, but would not affect the time traveler's own world. This movie obviously sticks with the self-consistency interpretation and demonstrates how that would look; if you travel through time, you already have.
Problem with the self-consistent universe is many. Multiple human bodies/items/clothing etc at once just generating from nothing(abusable infinite energy loop). No starting place for first Hector. What's worse is its clear that it doesn't have to happen at all. The scientist interacts with all 3/4 Hectors. Meaning that the risks of time travel don't exist anyway. Nice touch uploading this on September 16th, same as in the movie
I like your videos Recapped "but" the Robotic voise is way better to listen to would you change that? It does spare time because you don't need to speak your voice lines and cut it etc. Also it's easy to Understand if the robotic voice talks
It changed because UA-cam has been striking channels with the robotic voices. That's why all these movie recap channels have been changing to a real human voice
@@Scion141 thy for the informations
it's a relief that we can not go back in time in this life
Quantum physicists think two things about traveling back in time, beyond it is plausible, 1)We've solved the grandfather paradox. If you kill your own grandfather, you become your grandfather. 2)Most astrophysicists think if u do travel in time, you will travel to a parallel timeliness (Many worlds interpretation) but Einstein did not believe this.
I had my suspicion you were using a robot choice in your videos...my suspicion have been proven!(Love your Channel by the way keep it up)
Suspicion?
Thanks :P
would be nice if titles of the movies would be shown
Dude has bigger problems than just a time loop. He should really figure out why his blood is strawberry syrup.
Holy shit this plot was insane
So glad a human now narrates these instead of the creepy AI voice
Thanks Heath!
I'm utterly confused, there is a channel exactly similar to this one with the format and the catch phrases tf
17:08 when his whole plan suddenly clicks
So he is a Villain, a Perv, and a Hero.
I think this movie tells us that the past is the past, no point dwelling on the past, instead, learn from your past mistakes and move on
Interesting film, but called the twist from the beginning, I suppose watching a lot of time travel media can do that. One of my favourite series (Steins;Gate) executes time travel perfectly and is also of the time loop theorem.
This is why time travel doesn't exist 'yet'
Please bring back the mechanical voice. I CANT STOP HEARING THE S SOUND EVERY SENTENCE
its just high pitched SSSSS
If I could time travel the ONLY thing I would do is go back in time and buy a shit ton of bitcoin
I like your voice, but I kinda preferred the monotoned machine readings, but i guess its just me! Keep up the good work!
Off topic the guy who runs this acc is cute af ☠✋
Dude… thank you! You seriously just made my day, I’ve been feeling down from the negativity I’ve been hearing but you just picked me right back up.
@@vegablonde5604 you are doing great man. Dont worry too much about the negative comments
I find time travel movies incredibly confusing, I just don't understand.
If I had a time machine I would marry the woman I love, before things got complicated, give her everything she needs not everything she wants
