I'm a worker at the foundation and I'm tired of people pretending to be us, we risk our life to find and contain anomalous / supernatural entities and beings. And all the thanks we get is through people trying to replicate us onto their "avatar."
Some people can barely play an instrument, like me with the piano. We can play well enough when we're calm, and sometimes we make the mistake of trying to play when we're upset or irritated and fail miserably, thus making us even worse off. I think that's what happened to Adam, that he could just barely play but did horribly when he was so upset. I could be wrong, though.
i doubt in the future we will have much need for actual soldiers. we already use remote controlled drones for warfare. future wars will probable be taken out on a purely materialistic and financial level
@@marklivingston7737 Yes that's it, Ralph Fiennes! 👍 Especially when looking front-on at James D'Arcy's face, or from certain angles. It's the cornered, deep set piercing blue eyes, the deep downward creases around his mouth (from nose to corners of mouth), the long space between nose and upper lip, and the way his thin upper lip comes out over his lower lip like he's pursing his lips together to play a flute, and the pointed nose tip. In other photos of D'Arcy, he kind of reminds me a little of Ian McKellen and Benedict Cumberbatch - but better looking than either of them.
James D'arcy is Jarvis, the inspiration for A.I. Jarvis that became the Avenger, Vision. Not to be confused with Ralph Fiennes that was John Steed in The Avengers (1998). So, you can see the confusion that blurs between them.
What saddens me is that there are men like Adam who feel the need to have a woman’s love to have a sense of purpose and belonging. That should be the last thing men “need”. Stay up KINGS
This movie also does a great job of the human's desire for perfection and how much it can/will actually backfire. They keep chasing after fantasies to the point where they neglect the real world and other humans for the sake of having their ideal life, and the moment those fantasies become reality it actually makes their lives worse. It also shows the dangers of pursuing fantasy to the point of isolation and forsaking the good in reality. It's not good for physical, mental, or emotional health. The irony of this all is that the humans in this movie continue to chase after fantasy despite how bad it is for them and the world around them... Oh yeah, and it makes humans more like assholes...
Humanity is not meant as a whole to transient to a stage one civilization we always self-destruct,we have too many imperfections that I believe there caused by malice forces that we are not able to see but everyday they are bombarding you, some people have been able to see through their fog but most just see a rat race. They're always f****** with humanity's progress but I think individual Awakening is possible but I don't think a lot of people have cross that River.
Many people are starting to realize this. People only caring about themselves is never a good thing. That's why I hope that this will not be our future.
Agreed, everyone in this comments section is trying to say that the guy was in the right, and his wife was in the wrong, but the reality is that they were both wrong.
Ppl never leave their homes and because of this they develop mental health problems.... Covid-19 anyone? And why would the wife need to agree to clone his heart?
Because he can be easy be replaced with a clone. Thus making a single heart is tedious. Think of having a 1945 old dodge/chevrolet truck. Suddenly it broke down and the replacement piece cost like 1 million dollars because it's a collection item and are very few of them. You migth just buy a new modern truck and resing to your old truck to the garbage/storage.
Its a funny philosophical question. Could our memories, once saved in a computer rival the real thing? The answer is surprisingly simple, yet has many branches. If the virtual storage can perfectly mimic the conditions of the human body (releasing various chemical reactions depending on stimuli both internal and external to alter the mood and behavior?) Then its yes, virtual humans could rival the real thing. If the virtual storage is about the same as things we have today? not even close, you could barely retain all your memories, let alone personality or capacity for emotions, or even learning new things. If the virtual storage and its capabilities go even beyond what is shown in movies or books? Then humanity could even transcend its current state. Sharing emotions or memories, having a perfect memory, being able to influence one's own emotions at will to suppress or increase as deemed necessary. Increase memory capacity, processing speed and so on.
Maybe our consciousness can be copy into another being eventually but they will always be a copy of you not your real self. Consciousness could be there but the new clone is going to missing ur spirit therefore it will just be your mind with no soul living in that new body Well that is if you believe in a soul I guess but also they're copying your mind not transferring your mind therefore it still won't be you. All they did was just Jack your mind and put them into a new body.
@@JamesDean-vl3uf souls dont exist. You are your mind, what is determined by chemical reactions released by your body and the sum of your memories. Once you can copy that, the lines vanish. Both would be equally real, even if they will go completely different roads after that.
@@jefthereaper What I'm saying though is that if they copy your consciousness it's totally different than them transferring your consciousness. So in other words it's just a copy of you and the real you is still stuck in your old body still. I don't have any proof that there is a soul just my faith but what is your proof there is no soul? Energy doesn't die it just transfers.
@@JamesDean-vl3uf There is no "transferring" your consciousness. Memories, essentially your entire being is nothing more then neurons being activated in specific moments and time. You can't "transfer" that, you copy it. If you want to "transfer" your contentiousness like you could a file from one pc to another, then you essentially make a copy, and erase/destroy the original. Something very detrimental and pointless, let alone morbid. While I can't prove souls don't exit for a full 100% I'm still 99% sure considering a long laundry list of evidence. Just to name a few: - Souls have never been seen or heard outside of stories/fiction. - Nobody ever returned from the dead, in body or as a ghost (except in fiction) - The evidence of the soul existing is nothing compared to the overwhelming amount of proof to show the absence of souls, that is to say, there is none as it does not exist. That being said, I don't mean to belittle or harm your belief. Personally I don't believe in anything. I simply know, or I don't. But I refuse to believe or take something on faith.
Yeah but this is kind of reverse copiyng too. (Putting an artificial mind in a real world flesh body). Black Mirror never acknowladge what happen in the real world to the servers.
The company stock marcket will go downhill very fast and will go bankrupt in just 2 months. As former clients and investors will probably be rich millionare guys that clones will run away. After that either they sell the company or put it severe "mental orders" to not leave their human masters.
I recently watched a movie from one of these movie/story recap channels, and well sometimes these recaps make the movie sound better than it actual is, because narration is more stable than acting. Acting causes a volatile deviation in terms of quality for a movie. Great acting can make a story much better, but poor acting can ruin a movie. Narration is like a consistent middle ground quality.
Men slave away their entire lives just to be accepted. Then when he inevitably fails reaching the high expectation, he's discarded and humiliated. I love how the wife was as generic as can be and how we expected her to be.
I really feel for Adam because his wife probably always had issues with liking him and in the end her clone was supposed to be perfect but the dislike of Adam still remained it’s kinda sad. But I guess a clone is a new person, so they deserve a right to pick who they date. This whole future is sad where no one cares or can accept loss and what’s even sadder is they take drugs to feel nothing I fear our own world is similar.
"I ignored you as did everyone else and got surprised you had sex with a doll, clearly you're cheating and now you're dead to me. Whatever happened to the man I fell in love with?" unless I missed something here....what kind of logic is that? Also, she's mad at him for preferring a virtual gf...but yet she advocated to make him perfect through his clone.
Exactly. They said the whole earth will be "virtualized" and nobody will be standing in the real world. It will work.......Until a simple little rat enters the main servers and chew on a power cord causing billions of sentient Virtual avatars to die lol
Funnily enough, even if getting my emotional and social needs satisfied by AI in the future seems selfish, I would still do it. Who the hell wants to deal with a modern relationship anyway? Too many problems. Clones wouldn't really work for me either. They'd definitely run off just like in the movies and seek a life elsewhere. I mean, who doesn't want to be their own person and have their own life? Then again, this man's AI girlfriend "Maria" went and did it with some other dude first. One hell of a life this protagonist has. I would call it quits and go single. Forget relationships with whores. I don't care if it sounds selfish since you're running away from human society and aren't pumping out more children for the human race. Why force yourself to live such a crappy life?
the entire human genome has been decoded recently. all you need now is a way to syntesise DNA and there you go. shouldnt be to hard either cause dna consist of just a few chemicals right?

Some people can barely play an instrument, like me with the piano. We can play well enough when we're calm, and sometimes we make the mistake of trying to play when we're upset or irritated and fail miserably, thus making us even worse off. I think that's what happened to Adam, that he could just barely play but did horribly when he was so upset. I could be wrong, though.

He (James D'arcy) looks like an unknown middle brother of Ralph & Joesph Fiennes. The resemblance is uncanny ✌️
Yeah, I noticed that about him in the first few scenes. It is like looking at a much younger Ralph Fiennes.

Humanity is not meant as a whole to transient to a stage one civilization

You migth just buy a new modern truck and resing to your old truck to the garbage/storage.

2:53 coolest technology in the movie is definitely this razor
Its a funny philosophical question.
Could our memories, once saved in a computer rival the real thing?
The answer is surprisingly simple, yet has many branches.
If the virtual storage can perfectly mimic the conditions of the human body (releasing various chemical reactions depending on stimuli both internal and external to alter the mood and behavior?)
Then its yes, virtual humans could rival the real thing.
@@jefthereaper
What I'm saying though is that if they copy your consciousness it's totally different than them transferring your consciousness.
While I can't prove souls don't exit for a full 100%
I'm still 99% sure considering a long laundry list of evidence.
Just to name a few:
- Souls have never been seen or heard outside of stories/fiction.
- Nobody ever returned from the dead, in body or as a ghost (except in fiction)
- The evidence of the soul existing is nothing compared to the overwhelming amount of proof to show the absence of souls, that is to say, there is none as it does not exist.
That being said, I don't mean to belittle or harm your belief.
Personally I don't believe in anything.
I simply know, or I don't.
But I refuse to believe or take something on faith.
