桐廬「大山初里」民宿Japanese Young Man Builds a Guesthouse in Chinese Village

- 2016年，江西人周安辭掉高薪工作，包下桐廬老年村6棟荒廢的房子，請日本建築師小嶋伸也改成民宿，取名“大山初裏”。整個改造花費了1500萬，用的卻是土、紅磚、竹子等最樸素的材料，“哪怕客人只住一天，只要體驗到細節上的一點點不同，就值了。”
In 2016, Zhou An from Jiangxi resigned from his high-paying job and rent 6 dilapidated houses in an old village in Tonglu. He invited Japanese architect Shinya Kojima to renovate them into a guesthouse and named it Origin Villa. The whole renovation costs 15 million but uses simple materials like earth, red bricks, bamboo. ‘Even guests only stay here for one day, as long as they can experience a little difference in details, I think it’s worthwhile.’

这个民宿与周围的环境结合的很棒！喜欢这种风格简单实用，有机会去那里一定去住几晚！
設計師聽到「太普通了」竟然是感到高興，
這其中的深意是一般人所不懂的XD
真的~~通常都會希望能夠突出一點。不過我想可能是像他最後說的一樣，希望旅客在那充充電，休息一下再離開，那其中的意思可能就包含了住在與自然融合的房子中放鬆，就好似住在自然中一般，畢竟他的建築大部分的材料來源於大自然居多~~我想如果有機會，我會想去住住看的~~~
我是读建筑系的学生，我们一直以来所强调的并不是让自己的建筑更为突出，如果是这样，那每一个新建的建筑不是一个比一个突出了吗，渐渐地，这些建筑就失去了当地的味道，当你看到这些建筑你也不会想起是哪一个地区特有的建筑。所以我们一直以来都是希望保留当地特色，新的建筑不会影响环境，反而能融入其一，像是原本就适合存在在这里的建筑

我不是学建筑的。但逛街时经常留意周围的建筑和居民房。发现国外的居住区，新建的房子基本跟社区的其它老房子外观是同一风格的。所以不会出现违和感。
换个地方睡觉罢了，还排队住。是中国人就别去
當設計師聽到別人的評價說他們的設計“太普通了”，他說“我就很放心，我們的建築跟周圍很協調。”
這樣的想法好難得呀，沒有突兀，沒有侵略式的個人主義，尊重周圍的環境，人文風貌，謙遜融入。

Jing jing Chinese 我觉得不需要，跟环境融合是对的，但环境包括自然环境和社会环境，自然是美的，和他融为一体是天人合一之道，和原来的建筑吻合也是一种尊重先贤的方式，但是，如果周边都是垃圾，为何要融合…我们对古朴的东西有莫名的遵从，但，不是所有带有历史感岁月痕迹的建筑都是好的…

小时候在外婆家住的那才是真的民俗，门口乘凉，后院有鸡有鸭，晚上抬头看到好多星星。这个设计很完美，但是有些感觉过去了就过去了是找不回来的。
同意。这算什么民宿？民宿，当地居民的住宿，跟当地居民生活在一起感受他们的生活，吃他们吃的饭。这叫坐落在大山里的五星级度假酒店。
这民宿很有日本农村的感觉。有森林、水池。日本房屋大多是木头造的。
设计说明：
「大山初里」是位于中国桐庐一处「空巢村」的委托案，翻修六栋荒废建筑，并于原址重建新的渡假民宿。工程使用许多在地建材，例如竹材、红砖、石材、与炭木等，以突显每一栋建筑的独特风格，每栋也设有融合自然的休憩空间(起居室)、以及运用传统土墙建造的私密空间(卧室) 等。运用两种空间并存的方式，解决人类需求上的冲突，时而需要交流互动且时而需要隐身独处，鼓励与周遭共存共荣。
与周遭事物及人共生共存，是我们的经营理念！来到大山初里，您可以看到鸡、羊，狗等小动物无忧无虑的生长在这里，也可以看到原来大山村村民的原始生活状态！
anytime you can disconnect from your phone and the internet you're going to feel something different. and after a few hours, you begin to like it. and after a day you forget you have a phone or use the internet. after 3 days you are reluctant to leave the comfort of the forest.
If i'd be lucky to find an enchanting forest like this, i will forget the modern world. This will cure me of any mental, physical, emotional etc..sickness i've had. We need to reconnect ourselves back to nature. This modern way of lifestyle is good but we have higher stress level. Everything is accessible and that's good; however, life is still empty and devoid of substance. We are like slaves and prisoners of this modern era. We need to break free sometimes from the urban lifestyle.
This is really beatiful, blending modern architecture with the village and surrounding hills and natural environment without overpowering it. I hope to visit this place in the future :-)

What I can find is the price for 2019, CNY 1380 - 2280 (~USD 200 - 300), a night. During the pandemic, most of these homestays are at discounts of 50% or more.

I was moved by the design and interior calmness, and the exterior that respects and blends with the village. Kudos to the architect and the owner for a well thought out, introverted n respectful architecture. 👏🏼👏🏼

I feel so calm, just to see the video and the view.
I love how they manage to pull off that the guest house is still a part of the village. That itself is important. They don't think too highly of themselves to disregard the whole village and make themselves the only one standing out, but rather they join forces and help benefit the whole community! That is the best mindset!~

The youngest people in the village is 70 yo?
Because the "CCP Party" took all of the youngsters who were strong and able and to achieve their agenda... So now the rural areas practically died, basically.. And they still want to grab the children of the abled bodies, into cities... And this is whereby they are lacking in education to know how to regenerate their own villages and compete with the urban areas. So they lose-lose any way.... In Chinese law, any farm land is and can be used by anyone. You can literally live anywhere with good river and vegetations and live off grid, and survive.

我奶奶是桐庐人，清朝末年出生，到上小学的年龄就去杭州了，中学毕业就离开浙江了，再也没有回去过浙江。
和她生活了二十多年，除了桐庐的地名，她没有说过关于桐庐的一个字。我也从来不知道桐庐的任何事情。
我活了大半辈子，第一次看到或听到别人讲桐庐，而且风景优美，也觉得很神奇！

腦公家也在河北農村,有一個大院子,門前有一塊地種菜,我們三餐都吃婆婆種的蔬菜,沒有農藥,旁邊有一個小山坡種各種棗,養雞,雞看到人會跑過來,傻傻地跟著你走,看到這麼可愛的雞,每次吃雞肉我都感覺很罪惡,家裡的水是打井裡的地下水,做飯是燒材,還沒裝路燈的時候,沒有光害,抬頭看天空,有很多星星,唯一不方便的是小便大號沒有沖水下水道,都是茅坑,好可怕,其他的部分,真的什麼都好,每次回農村,都感覺時間過得好慢,好悠齋,很放鬆,遠離工作繁忙的節奏
日本人的设计都比较有禅意，看上去就觉得心境安宁…
中国也有，但是，不是外来和尚。一般人不认。

jokes aside, this is a wonderful idea. the design is so simple yet so welcoming and relaxing. I have visited a couple of Chinese rural villages before and it was an amazing experience, you would warm up to the people and surrounding nature right away ♡
