- Come in quest'ora' bruna from Verdi's Simon Boccanegra. Maria Boccanegra (Amelia Grimaldi) sung by Kiri Te Kanawa. George Solti conducting the ROH orchestra & chorus, Covent Garden 1991. Buy on Decca.
Un tibro dolce e colre velutato, come una carezza. Meraviglia di belcanto
Dame Kiri te Kanawa sings this aria so eloquently.
Wow, just beautiful.
Incomparably beautiful singing. ❤️
Lovely DameTe Kenawa. Marvellous aria.
Check out soprano Kasondra Kazanjian
Saw her do this at Covent Garden and she sang it beautifully "live".
I love how she just floats to the high notes
I'm a very big Kiri Te Kanawa fan

Si Amore. Lovely
Exquisite singing with a tone of beauty and understanding of abandonment.
It was considered often by critics that she not an intelligent actress or dramatic personage
to be taken seriously. Now having gone through a lifetime of travelling with this production and putting
them into this role, none matched her.The restraint and authenticity seemed so effortless that it was
taken forgranted
But the beauty of tone and subtle inwardness was pitch perfect. Some sopranos tried to over act and most of them just meh.
The production suddenly became the Domingo opera and weaker performers were found to be a foil.
