It was cool at first but after a few seasons it was really boring and predictable... And the only one that was really amazing was Teenage Dream. Including Raise your glass in this list is a CRIME.
Honestly, I don't know like 80% of the songs in Glee until I watched Glee, and I even didn't appreciate the other 20%. Glee made me like these songs and changed my taste in music entirely. For me, I agree with all these songs in the video since I didn't know or even enjoy them in the first place, and for me Glee really made them enjoyable and really nice.
Glee made me interested in broadway and musical. Despite the shitshow on 4 5 6 we gotta admit their covers were great. I still feels emotional on landslide mine and songbird
'Total Eclipse Of The Heart' is the MOST underrated and also one of the best glee covers, you should all listen to it if you forgot how great it is. Also, Glee's 'Faithfully' is one of their best too and should be high on this list imo. I also think 'Americano/Dance Again' is way better than both the originals. 'A New York State Of Mind' is also soooo much better on glee and 'River Deep Mountain High' in my opinion. I love the glee cover of 'Everybody Talks' so glad thats on the list. Kurt's 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' is also very beautiful and in my opinion more touching and better than the original.
i listened to the glee cover way before i watched the show because i didn’t know that the cover was from a show... so much better than the original and so underrated from the fandom!
unpopular opinion: if the original smooth criminal was by anyone besides MJ, everyone would agree that the glee version was better than the original. People only defend it because it's by an icon. Glee did something totally different with that song and it's AMAZING, and I totally agree it's better than the original
milkovich I think most people like MJ's version because it just sounds better. There was a lot of autotune in the Glee version, but there wasn't any in the MJ version. Personally, I think MJ's version is a lot more entertaining.
A point that hasn't been made yet is the music is not necessarily performed better in Glee, it's the arrangements, the harmonies, the collaborations of multiple voices instead of just one or two that make these songs so great!

Quinn’s voice is what makes the glee version of Marry You so amazing and is the main reason I prefer it over the original. Same with Santana’s vocals and the amazing cello on Smooth Criminal.
Not hate or shade but I like glles version of smooth criminal more than MJs I just like the quickened tempo and the sharpness of the Cello's. It just really creates an intense battle vibe for me.

I don't usually get emotional while listening to music; however, Glee's versions of Shake It Out and Mine has brought me to tears. They had so much more emotion than the originals. I am so happy us Gleeks are still going strong!!!

I personally loved Paradise by Dashboard Light and pretty much the entire Quarterback soundtrack. But that could just be because of the emotional context of the episode.

I didn't know like any of the songs before Glee covered it, but what i love about Glee is they made the song there own and made it unique, so to me almost 90% of the songs Glee covered were so much better for me
Can I just say there is something magical about Becca Tobin's (Kitty's) voice? Normally, I find that nasally-ness annoying, but with her? I LOVE it and it gives me chills And IMA need to argue that "Paradise by the dashboard light" was criminally forgotten from this list. It is easily one of the best performances from the entire show. Can I just say there is something magical about Becca Tobin's (Kitty's) voice? Normally, I find that nasally-ness annoying, but with her? I LOVE it and it gives me chills
And IMA need to argue that "Paradise by the dashboard light" was criminally forgotten from this list. It is easily one of the best performances from the entire show. And let's face it, if anybody was going to make a Meatloaf song sound good, it was gonna be glee
