They did Finn dirty giving him so many ballads with Rachel, he definitely killed the more rock/rock n roll songs and only had a handful of them. That's why he's considered one of the worst singers on the show, the writers never gave him songs that suited him but suited Rachel.
Also Party All The Time, Hung Up and Scream are all severely underrated.

Holly's Turning Tables was honestly one of the best covers from the whole Glee soundtrack. For such a small character, she absolutely bodied that.
I personally disagree on Santana. I think Valerie, girl on fire and nutbush city limits are her best songs! Don’t rain on my parade wasn’t really her thing in my opinion. But she did a good job!

Everyone disagreeing on Santana's best because they're choosing Valerie, but my god Rumor Has It/Someone Like You is one of the shows best performances honestly and is cemented into my memory. I personally think her Don't Rain On My Parade is so overrated and tacky for obvious reasons, while she performed it well, I think that unlike what everyone thinks, it only showed how insecure Santana was when it came to Rachel and how she let Rachel get the best of her too. Her Adele mash-up shows authenticity and added so much depth to her character.

I am one of the few people who actually love Rachel, but the fact that Lea had almost a HUNDRED songs more than Darren who was on second place is uhm a little much.
I don't love Rachel and at all and definitely think she got too many songs, but it actually makes sense that she has that many more songs than Darren. She was a main character from the first episode. Darren was added mid season 2, wasn't even on every episode after that, and didn't become a main cast member until season 3. I'd be interested to see how many solos they each got in season 3, 4, etc because that's probably a more useful comparison
I think the fact that Darren got more songs than Chris, Amber, Diana, Jenna etc when they were there from the first episode and he only appeared mid season 2 is even worse. (Though I agree that Rachel should have at most 20 more songs than the second place since as the main character it's normal for her to have more songs just not 100)

Just commenting on some as I watch - Smooth Criminal was the PERFECT choice for Sebastian, Naya and Grant were both incredible on that - but really I love all his songs, though I agree Stand was probably the... least best lol.
I'm gonna agree with a lot of other comments and say that Bohemian Rhapsody was definitely Jesse's best though. I almost never heard covers of that are actually genuinely good, since it's such a difficult performance, but he did AMAZING.
Definitely agree with Everybody Talks for Kitty, honestly that's one of the only performances I actually like her voice on.
I think Quinn's best song was I Feel Pretty / Unpretty, and I also love Say A Little Prayer and Papa Don't Preach. Also, Quinn was my gay awakening when I was 13 (though Brittany's Slave 4 U definitely helped too lmao).

Paradise by the dashboard light was INCREDIBLE, definitely the best Finn's sounded and they *earned* that Nationals win.
I think Valerie or Girl on Fire were Santana's best, but she really doesn't have a bad song. And Don’t Rain On My Parade was still GREAT of course, especially her high notes.
Not The Boy Next Door was SO great (and Kurt should've gotten into NYADA the first time but whatever), but I'd also suggest Rose's Turn for Kurt. Especially since it was not only incredibly sung, but also incredibly acted. Just perfect all around. Bring Him Home was also fantastic and would be my other suggestion. And yeah, Candles was horrible. It really didn't fit EITHER of their voices.
MERCEDES HAS THE BEST VOICE ON GLEE. Also, really love Amber and Chris' friendship and I wish the show didn't suddenly decide to ignore Kurt and Mercedes' friendship almost entirely post-season 2 just because they wanted to make Kurt Rachel's gay best friend 🙄.
Cough Syrup is incredible, and so powerful. I still get chills listening to it.

rachel having 200+ songs (i bet half of it are solos) meanwhile Quinn has only 47 and only 3/47 are solos, this is a hate crime. all of the cast can sing no doubt but Quinn had a unique soft angel voice that they didnt showcase enough and im mad at ryan murphy for that.
Rachel had loads of songs bc 1. She was the main character 2. The actress who played Quinn left the show and 3. Quinn’s voice is not nearly the same standard of Rachel’s , her voice is incredible

Yes, she didn’t need 200+ songs. There were a bunch of other very good singers who deserved more songs and opportunities to show their talents.
However, I disagree that Quinn was one of them. Her voice is very angelic and very unique but her singing abilities are weak overall. It makes sense that she didn’t get many songs.
