I trained at TheHammersmith and started in 1979. The common room was the same, the furniture and curtains were in the same. No expense spared there!
Thank you for posting!
Me too in 1979 - same at St. James’ University Hospital 😻
I just love those nurses uniforms. I miss wearing them.
Loved it.I lost myself in this piece of wonderful nostalgia :)
We need matrons like that grand old dame at the start there.
Fascinating and inspiring!
I REMEMBER THE NURSES WORE THE CRISP WHITE UNIFORMS AND CAPS I MISS THAT
all nurses are so beautiful here
I once dated a Nurse she said each School has its own signature hat worn throughout career; at least used to be that way.
Surprised the man survived with no chest compressions and that bizarre bellow action! 😂 glory days of nursing. 20 years of being a nurse and I still learn and love every shift.
MY DAD KNEW THIS PIECE OF EQUIPMENT WAS THE FORERUNNER OF THE AMBUBAG
Good to see Matron 'cutting a rug' at the end there!
This is UK or Australia?
no boy nurses?
Boy nurses werent that common like today
Men mostly did psychiatric nursing back then
THE NURSE WEARING THE DARK UNIFORM WEARING HER CUTE CAP IT LOOKED LIKE A POECE OF IT WAS MISSING HER HAIR THE CAP COVERED IT
I think they are very pretty ❤🎉
