Curious if you would you happen to know the actual ingredients of "Happy Campers Extreme Holding Tank Cleaner?" I bought a container and am trying it out in our RV but, curiously, nowhere on the label, or on their website, do they list the ingredients. They simply describe it as "organic," "biodegradable," and "environmentally friendly." Some people say it's nothing but high-priced Trisodium Phosphate (TSP). 16 oz of TSP at Lowes costs $5. The 18 oz of "Extreme" I got on Amazon cost me $34. Wonder if you or anyone in your community might know what this white powder actually is. Thanks.

Surprising it did not plug the sink, ALWAYS mix powder INTO the liquid (water). In other words fill sink with water first, then add powder.

+TinyTrailerLife To the best of my knowledge, proper storage of all (any) powder requires protection from moisture, proper activation requires completely dissolving/mixing INTO a liquid. The adverse consequence of improper storage or mixing is undesirable clumping. I do acknowledge that there may be a rare exception however, offhand I can not think of any type of powder for which this is not true.
Anyone with kitchen (cooking) or construction (masonry) experience will always mix powder into the liquid, always liquid first, then add the powder. Mixing is difficult if done backwards. To be honest, this was pointed out to me first by a customer, he is a cook. I knew it was true for cement, just didn't realize it was most all powders.
Crazy question! A unbiased review of the Happy Campers “DIRECTIONS:” would be a huge help. Directions at bottom of amazon.com description is somewhat different than container label. What is clear, what is not? What is confusing? Is amazon or container label better (more clear)? I understand your time is valuable, happy to offer some type of compensation for your time and opinion.

Commander it is a water softener that helps break down/dissolve minerals/buildup that can obscure your sensors so they do not clear when tanks are empty.

We freshen our tanks AND it helps reset our sensors by using water softener, hot water, dawn dish liquid, a spray wand and a 50/50 mix of water/bleach (using a funnel so we don't get any bleach on the toilet seal), once in a while. Runs clear and no odors. We also leave an elbow in our drain hose out of the tank and leave both tanks closed so no sewer gas comes through. We use very little bleach just now and then, maybe a quart with a quart of water while the black tank is half full. Then we run it on up to 3/4 to full (Don't over fill it), with normal use. We only use the water softener and dawn in the grey tank. We do this before we go on a camping trip and drive with the solution sloshing to clean the walls of the tanks.
