This technique works for every fish I know. The first time I used it in Texas the guys I was fishing with thought I was crazy until I caught so many speckled trout and redfish on it that they had to switch over to it. Used it on everything from trout, pike, bass, sunfish, crappie and multiple saltwater species including even the highbrow Bonefish have fallen for it
