Dodge Challenger Taillight Alignment

Are your taillights crooked or not aligned together in your Dodge Challenger? Here are 3 easy methods you can try to fix the issue along with a before and after picture of my car. Theoretically this would work for a Charger as well since they also have part of the taillights on the trunk.
Be sure you don't adjust the trunk latch too low or you may have problems getting the trunk to close. It should be adjusted only as low as you need it to be to get the taillights to line up. Make small adjustments downward or upward using the markings or a paint pen or tape as reference.

You are The Man!......I'm looking at a new Challenger and the lights are misaligned like yours was......And every Challenger I've ever seen anywhere over the years,they are always misaligned....I always wondered if they could be fixed or if it was a manufacturer flaw....But now I know it can be fixed....This taillight misalignment has always put me off of buying a Challenger throughout the years......Once again,you are The Man!👍👍👍👍

I used 2 shims from a laminate floor kit I had to raise housing. I only had issue on passenger side.

Dodge builds such junk. The
Body lines are insane on these challengers and the trunk collects mud like crazy

Yeah it's embarrassing whenever I open my trunk, water spots and dirt everywhere. Wish the build quality was better but it is what it is, luckily not a lot of mechanical issues with hellcats I've heard of but they are easy to steal apparently 🙄

What about the black casing if on side is pushed in? Like 1:8 of an inch
