When he's 'delivered' from this 'spiritual attack', the mallam or alfa is usually rewarded handsomely or according to the capacity of the parents to show gratitude for the prayers done on behalf of their son. Not all Nigerian Muslim parents do this though. So can a marriage be a marriage without consumating the marriage? Can men and women live together never have sexual intercourse as long as they are married even though there is no medical reason or any reason except that a person does not desire a sexual relationship?
The problem is finding a partner on the same ground, it would be very hard to search for a woman with good qualities like on deen etc and on top of that, one which has no desire to consummate.
As long as they do not consider sex haram between them and leave it to their willing to do it or not, I do not see a reason why this would not be valid. For instance if a man becomes impotent, has kids to raise and finds a woman who is no longer interested in sexual relationships but wants a man to provide for her and he wants a partner to help him (raise his kids, take care of his house), why would it be haram? For me it is like when a woman agrees to remain married to her husband but no longer share his bed (especially when they are younger cowives and both partners agree), it is totally halal.
That's just impossible having normal s-sual desires but don't wanna have s while there is a member of the opposite gender living in the same house and sleeping in the same bed, eventually they'll start slipping 😅

Yes he did. You heard him right. Now, I think he's afraid to say no to them cuz he doesn't know that it's not a sin to supposedly disobey your parents if you're in this situation
People lie about islam culturally. They will convince you of wrong rulings and if enough people and leaders without education preach this it will get to your mind. Manipulation.
Are you a revert or how would you not know culture ruins islam? Or why we have the phrase "Islam is perfect, believers aren't".
My culture keeps on acting like not wanting to get married and not having 50 children is bad. These people's brains are very damaged and they don't want to unlearn culture for true islam
If this man and his parents were from my country Nigeria, the parents would be visiting one mallam and alfa or the other (please refer to Google for the meaning of those terms) asking and begging them to pray for their son to be released from the shackles of a jinn or succubus (also called spiritual wife) that they believe has taken away his sexual desire and prevented him from desiring to marry a woman. When he's 'delivered' from this 'spiritual attack', the mallam or alfa is usually rewarded handsomely or according to the capacity of the parents to show gratitude for the prayers done on behalf of their son. Not all Nigerian Muslim parents do this though. If you're a Nigerian Muslim and your Muslim parents dont fo this, you should thank God everyday for that cuz a lot of if not all of these mallams and alfas do shirk and their patrons follow suit out of ignorance or desperation. I can go on and on but I'll just end it here

Why would she bother moving to a strange man's house to cook and clean for him? She could stay in her father's house and cook and clean there, company? She could have her own friends and enjoy the company of her family and nieces and nephews, why would she bother marrying a man to be her companion? Is her family extinct? As long as they do not consider sex haram between them and leave it to their willing to do it or not, I do not see a reason why this would not be valid. For me it is like when a woman agrees to remain married to her husband but no longer share his bed (especially when they are younger cowives and both partners agree), it is totally halal.
