Oh my goodness - I've never heard of this happening. If that was me on the dock, I'd never get off the ship in port ever again - I'd be terrified, haha!
Wow! That's crazy and I think a first!!! Your honesty probably the first one person ever to get footage of a ship coming back to pick anyone up! No matter who it was!! Thanks have a great time the remainder bro!!
We were on a carnival cruise and the ship came back for two passengers that were pretty drunk. Turns out they had children on board and the captain decided to pick them up. Carnival apparently charged them and took away all drinking privileges the rest of the trip.
thats very bizarre, on the episode of Mighty Ships about Carnival Visa and someone needed to be removed because of a medical emergency, instead of returning to the wharf Carnival Vista proceeded to the nearest anchorage where the sick passenger was taken off by boat, all I can think of is that obviously this person was very important to RCCL, wish I was that important
I have to agree - certainly in my navy days we'd have sent a seaboat/tender and that was when cost was not an immediate issue. Imagine the fuel costs and people time costs involved returning like this. I hope we get an answer now :-).
Interesting. Considering that docking fees are in the 10s of thousands, does a return such as this count as a new docking? Whoever it was he was important enough to the command and/or cruise line to warrant a return. Tom Clancey (RIP) could had something to write about :)

I heard that if a passenger has a child aboard, they will let the parent on so the child isn’t alone. That’s the only situation I can think of!
Who ever or why must have been important
Wow! Never heard of that!
Always stay on ship time and make sure come back to the port area on time.
It was someone who was on a RC excursion. They left without her and went back.

Assistant Pilot or Pilot in training?
Would have seemed easier to send a tender boat out, but who knows. If they were on a cruise shore excursion they are guaranteed boarding.

They should know if it was an excursion that was late but possible
The captain?
Maybe there was a medical reason for the late arrival
That's interesting..
Interesting. I am very careful with booking excursions that are not ship sponsored. I don't want to miss a ship when someone has a bad day.
Either Crew or Passenger This Person had some '''PULL''''
to have the Ship Reverse and Pick Him up....
Probably a crew member -( Royal Caribbean worker , forgot to come back on time - on time off from work for a while )
Very Possible ....
If that was a crew member, I wonder if they got a brisk scolding?

If the tour is reserved through RC they're responsible and that's exactly what happened. I was on that ship. Six men were late from a RC excursion.
Maybe they were on a cruise sponsored excursion and were obligated to return?
That's what I was told by cruisers on the Harmony
How important would you have to be to have them come back?
I'm not sure never seen them do it before
They were on a RC excursion and got stuck in traffic. If the excursion is through the cruise company they have to wait for the passengers.
I was on that ship as well.
@@jahairamolina4591 so they accidentally left without them and had to go back
That’s a first!
How bizarre
