Read up on the "consumables" and replacement parts possibilities to understand the potential service bills (even if you do your own wrenching) in the foreseeable future... ESPECIALLY TIRES... That list includes things like gaskets, seals, o-rings, and the brake lines at this point... It's not a guaranteed replacement list, mind you... JUST that "sitting to death" can be a thing, depending on how the bike was routinely stored... SO it's worth knowing what might've been 'broke down" by the elements of just sitting quietly, and while they may hold up for a while, that's a vague and indiscriminate amount of time before you're on the hook for the adjustments and replacements... For perspective, I bought a 95 Suzuki Savage 650, with 3850-ish actual miles on it. I had a FULL history of the bike with confidence... AND I've treated her as much like a trail bike as the cruiser she is for thousands of miles now... Other than the initial carburetor clean out (shellacking sucks for engine operation)... I have no complaints... LOVE it! Hope this helps, as some of those "consumables" might be worthy of mention in price negotiation so you could even get a break... ;o)

@@alexandertoback5553 a market place special apparently lol but Fr was a 07 gs500f
Just fix it, working on bikes is ezpz and parts are super cheap
@@augustnorman2434 fixing a bike is not ezpz, especially if You’ve never done it before
@@augustnorman2434 yeaa Noo its not bro... Are you gonna tell him about how the Japanese bikes use ph2 an ph3? Or you gonna let him strip em?
The diss in the intro right before i go to check out a CBR 500R to buy as my first bike...
Arizona State of motorcycles I guess is the Indian Chief? 😋
The Chief is one of the top cruisers around in performance and looks, I think you mean either the Suzuki Boulevard or Harley 883 😁
Miss the Craigslist videos
AWESOME AMAZING FANTASTIC VIDEO ! I ENJOYED IT ! I LOVE IT !
great content as usual, maybe just change the click image as its a bit misleading (bicycle wheel ??)
TRUTH YAM 💯💯💯
Consuming your videos in YamYam-style😋
Great video yam. keep up
I always drift away from your channel cause I want real info about bikes and you drift off onto other topics that aren't relevant too often.
2 hours a week? You gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers.
I got my masters from ASU so I can say that comparison is accurate 😂
If you can’t work on a motorcycle carburetor you need to have your man card revoked…. I might not be able to ride just yet .. but anyone worth their salt can turn a wrench
I think basic maintenance should be mandatory learning when getting a license.
Man cards don't exist
@@slimfit767 not in this society
Intro cracked me up 😂😂😂
I liked the video at Squidinol!
another thing, if the seller has a document with a missing or ripped page, walk away. if you dont have the paperwork it doesnt matter how good the condition of the bike is, or how cheap it is, do not get it. also look for where the seller is from. if they live in a place thats notorious for being a crime infested mess, chances are the bike is stolen.
I don’t have seasons I live in ca it’s either hot warm or chilly 😂
LOL I love it so much that literally *everyone* dunks on ASU
Get a guaranteed check for the lowest your going to offer the bring the differance of that from the asking price in cash
6 bikes no dirt bikes 💯🇨🇦
Got two of my bikes from rick scared squids at half price and only one year old.......weeee (they needed only 300-400 services to make them almost as from the factory line). Still meeting them in the city and the have remorces about selling those bikes.....
I’ve been wondering. Say I started in a 54HP ‘97 Honda CB500. What would be a good second naked motorcycle? On the cheaper there are the SV650’s, but I’m looking into moving to Yamaha, either a 07 or 09. What do you recommend?
hey Yams can you do a video on "first bikes over 50" so as to satisfy the Dad Squids out there who haven't touched a bike a bicycle or tool in over a decade and now want a.....(deep breath) "chopped up, stretched out, raked up, widened and piped and ported Vfax Night Rain Boulevland" so they can show up at the local AppleFridayGarden wearing dad jeans, white sneakers and and untucked button down shirts to hit on the Ultra Blond bartender who thinks they are human garbage. extra points if you can include riding with said Dad Squid I'm too tall too big too old for that bike over to AppleFridayGarden and getting reaction for the Ultra Blond.
Plants coming out the intake lol
Sad to see that the Yam has stepped in line with all the rest.
?
Yammie I’ve been watching you for 3 years and I just realized you’ve literally influenced every bike I’ve had lol
What does "getting valves done" mean?
Perfect timing
Can’t click, gotta go to work
Yo thought this was one of the bicycle channels I'm subscribed to ciz the thumbnail is a bicycle rear hub and chain.
wish we had a EU version of daddy Yammie
Just got my first motorcycle like a week ago!
1985 Honda Magna V65 1100cc. $1100. Garage kept and maintained for the last 30 years. same owner. He was #2, im #3. Thing looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. i LOVE it.
What yall think?
I’ve had a Magna, mid 90’s. It was fantastic bike.
@@cccycling5835 dude I love it. I'm like 275lb 6ft tall, and it's got plenty of giddup-n-go for me
They don’t make em like they used to. That magna is properly fast. Only thing I didn’t like about those is that if your in the throttle it is drinking fuel. And that V4 loves to sing
@@adamlanglois563 yeah im getting the impression its a gas hog.
Honestly don’t know why I’m watching this, I bought my second bike a week ago
Im heading on a bike inspection
OMG the sloth killed me..
Nah, just do what I did and buy a crusty 1980 cx500 with no title for $850 from another state as your first motocycle. It's fine. After about $1000, it's titled and running. Lol, for real though I have some videos of it on my channel check it out. It's going to be sweet once I get my new NUUT wiring done. And new paint. And fix the pinholes in the gas tank lol.
Why buy a used bike when you a can enter a Yammie give away 🤔
Yamm, was that you and the gratuitous Ninja footage? Can't get the kickstand up on the first swing? Looks like ur Bri'ish jacket? Just bustin' your manscaped balls
I got stuck with a title problem. And the guy put me off for months and ended up with a MVR4 lost title form.
What about of the painted the bike? Is that a problem? Gsxr 750 painted gray. . Seems like they might be hiding something
Might get a Suzuki gs500f in a couple days it has 19k miles would u say that’s high ?
Just 2 hours a week?... I thought it would be normal to reach those on a daily basis...
I didn’t think the transfer title and sale tax was gonna be $235. I had enough money saved up but still. 07 cbr
What if the owner has no documents for maintenance records at this point What should i do ?
about the titling section, im looking to sell my dirtbike. i never registered it because i actually never got a chance to take it out. i have the title with the printed name of the last guy, my name is signed on it. can i sell it without officially putting it under my name?
I saw reasons not to buy a motorcycle and saw a.messed up bike chain and wheel?
fucking finally ill be able to buy a bike now...
thx papa yam
Almost annoyed enough to want to hijack a motorcycle so I can get to work in time ...
elegant 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
ASU of motorcycles is 100% a “stunted out” GSXR 600
Is squidinol prescription or over the counter?
Can u buy a good used bike on line from another country and not get scammed
How do i join the discord? It's not letting me
Do it! Click the video! Do it!
