Traveling nowadays is a process and requires a lot of patience,I’m happy that you made it to Manila and sad at the same time because you cannot even hug your Mom after so many months of being away.Your eco bag by the way endured the test of time.Good luck to you both and I know in my heart that exciting events in your life are coming,I am sooooo ready!!!

Hi Martin/Ave. It was a tedious travel but thank God you arrived in Manila safely. I didn’t like the way you were treated by Shangrila Hotel. Letting you wait outside just because of the eco-bag you were carrying instead of a “branded” luggage. For me that was discremination. Shangrila should never “judge a book by its cover because not all that glitters is gold”. Calling on their management for this rude action. All customers must be treated kindly and with respect. As a Filipino, I felt disappointed for Ave and especially for Martin (a foreigner/tourist) for receiving such treatment. I know that maybe the hotel staffs have rules to follow but still there is a more POLITE way of doing things. 😖😡. Sorry too long. I love you MarVe my favorite couple travel vlogger. Enjoy in Manila with care!!! 👩❤️👨😍💗

This video is full of all kinds of emotions ---- from leaving your Siargao Family to going through all the Pandemic checkpoints to meeting your mom and settling back to city life. After all these, you should write a book about your COVID journey because I do not think there is another Norwegian Filipino couple who are going through similar experiences. This transition back from Island life to city life is going to be challenging. Be patient with yourself and with each other. Stay safe, healthy and strong! The Philippines seems to have developed and implemented an excellent system in dealing with the Pandemic. Where I live, the cases are rising and people are resisting the masks. I will be comfortable to travel in the Philippines with this system...

I’m so impressed about the process of safety in check getting from point A to B. I’m from LA and going from one state to another, nothing is required except travel to Hawaii. No wonder in US our Covid cases just keeps on getting up. My first time to watch your Vlog. Our travel plans to Maldives then to Siargao Island this year has been put on hold. I’m so impressed about the process of safety in check getting from point A to B.
I’m from LA and going from one state to another, nothing is required except travel to Hawaii. No wonder in US our Covid cases just keeps on getting up. My first time to watch your Vlog. Our travel plans to Maldives then to Siargao Island this year has been put on hold. Hopefully next year we can re- schedule. I’ll be checking more of your vlogs re-Siargao.
