Some really great thoughts here! I would add that often we don't paddle moving around on the boat and balancing. For instance I often have students spend time paddling around on the back deck and climbing down to the bow then back to the seat. Its also a fun exercise to sit on the back deck then turn around so you are facing the stern! I have been challenging myself lately to surf sitting on the back deck.
It's fantastic you thought about these things, getting in and out is one of the major security problem I encounter with advanced white water paddlers. Sometimes you need to be quick, to escalade things etc... to help another guy on the river and I don't count anymore how many advanced paddler are not good at this task. By the way there is a superb video of Seth on this topic. And good advice to improve this, is to look at marathon racers and see how they jump out of their boat and after try that on different environment.
Along with practicing a good forward stroke, I often have to remind myself to have a proper grip and hand position on my paddle. If I don't think about it, I get lazy and end up getting more fatigued after a long day of paddling when my position is off. Awesome video dude!!!
It's gotta be hard to practice getting in and out on the beach when you're at the club and not at the beach though :P Definitely; wet exists, being mindful of your technique, and last summer I found myself on the Jagersplas (together with every human being within 10 kms it felt) and being in such irregular waves was certainly uncomfortable. Definitely something to practice practice practice.
Ik heb een vraag op de foto sta jij namelijk met een oranje pedel jas aan wat voor merk en type jas is dat vind hem cool en ik zoek nog naar een oranje peddeljas gr lesley

Thanks! I myself am far of how those marathon paddlers do it! 🤣

Am guilty of all of these. I definitely want to use this winter to get more practice and confidence with bad conditions and waves
