I am loving these regular videos Manu. I’ve been with Italy Made Easy for over a year now and it gets increasingly more difficult to keep up the momentum and so these videos are just perfect. Thank you. By the way, I would recommend this course to anyone. Utterly brilliant.
Manu, sentirti per caso facendo un po' di zapping su spotify e sentirti parlare in particolare di caffè e della città in cui ci siamo conosciuti... mi ha riempito il cuore di gioia! I miss you, man!!!
Growing up visiting my Sicilian family in New York, there was ALWAYS expresso after dinner. Lots of times, the men sat around and told stories for the kids to hear, or just to reminisce. I can smell and taste it in my memories ❤❤❤
Grazie Millie Manu! This was a wonderful educational video on caffe. I am an avid coffee drinker and when I went to Italy it was cool stopping at any bar and getting a quick espresso. I understood every thing without having to look at the captions and you have helped me a lot with your videos. Just did the 30 days and that was really good. Now if I could just talk to someone and practice that would be great.

I really enjoy these a lot, thank you Manu! I am not learning italian in a very efficient way (I don't have much time so I mostly just use duolingo 😅), but I feel like these videos are way more helpful. It's also encouraging that I understand most of what you're saying if I put on the subtitles, since I speak french and many words are pretty similar to italian! It will take me some time to start being able to speak italian myself, but my primary goal is to understand it 😄 And this is a really good way to pick up some words and grammar rules naturally. Thanks again!
Grazie Manu. I lived in Brazil for 10 years and it is also a cultural thing there, served the same way. The funny thing is I don't drink coffee, but I do drink tea. This video was a little fast for me, but I understood a lot just the same. I want to get back studying Italian and hope to visit Italy next year, as the world hopefully opens up completely. Thanks for the videos!!

Well, I am one of those rare exceptions. I do not drink coffee, and have never liked the taste. But, I love tea. In Italy, if someone offers to go grab a coffee is it okay to say I am happy to join them and will enjoy a tea instead?
No no no. Italia non è il solo paese del caffè.

Well, I am one of those rare exceptions. I do not drink coffee, and have never liked the taste. But, I love tea. In Italy, if someone offers to go grab a coffee is it okay to say I am happy to join them and will enjoy a tea instead?
Of course!

Do Italian's say "coffee" when they mean espresso? In America those are not the same things.
Correct!
Ma ci sono italiani che non bevono caffè?
We drank coffee too as children, my Mother was Italian and my Grandmother was from Naples, Italy..I thought all children drank coffee...Lol
