Honestly, I’m a little miffed at how she said her worst fear is not being home with her husband and future kid. I’m a critical care nurse who worked exclusively as a heart failure and transplant coordinator. You know what real fears are ? Living in the hospital while you wait for a heart, knowing that someone has to die so you can live. Watching someone you love struggle to do anything and knowing you can’t help. Worrying that you won’t be able to afford the lifetime meds you’ll need.
That girl needs a reality check.

Yes! Friend!! OR nurse at a level 1- I literally watched this and out loud said “THATS your biggest fear?? I could think of at least 99 other things scarier than that!” We’ve seen shit that haunts you, and she is scared she will have to put her kids in daycare for a few hours 😂😂

    • @babymama406
      @babymama406 2 роки тому +12

@@mayvel1537 I agree. Although I also think she’s ridiculous for it being her biggest fear, she’s young and sheltered and untouched by tragedy and trauma. Eventually, she’ll have those serious experiences and realize how silly her “biggest fears” are right now. I think about what I thought was upsetting when I was newly married…and it was silly stuff. There’s always someone out there who has it worse, who has “real problems”, etc. My mom has a really bad pain disorder. It’s really bad. But because of that, she disregards any type of problem anyone else has. Broken leg? “Oh, at least it’ll heal and you won’t have to live with it forever.” Being hurt or upset isn’t a competition.

What's really funny to me is that it sounds like her husband has a "regular, corporate" job. ie: he leaves the house and works for someone else. And she's like, "we can go out on the weekends" or "he comes home and we can hang out!"...because of the freedom Monat provides?! Ma'am. Like...you're SO close.
Your husband has a corporate job AND he has "time freedom" to be with you during nights and weekends! Whaaaaat?! Y'all can be the couple you want to be, even though one of you works one of those icky, soul-sucking, time-eating CORPORATE JOBS?!!
Monat didn't save you. Monat didn't make this possible. Your husband is proof. The call is literally coming from inside the house!! You can have a "regular" job (corporate, WFH, or otherwise) and still have nights and weekends and vacations and dates and family time.

Just had my 21st wedding anniversary last month, so I’m saying this as someone who dearly loves her husband (he’s legit my best friend) but IMO if she was really sitting on her bed crying at just the thought that they might not get to spend ALL their time together after they were married, that strikes me as a sign that she wasn’t emotionally mature enough to get married in the first place. Seriously, tell me you’re in a co-dependent relationship without *telling* me.
I also find it funny that she said her love language was quality time, when we know that she’s more than likely on her phone working her “business” the majority of her waking hours…that’s not *quality* time, ma’am.

He was 8 years old and we paid for a plane ticket for my mom to come stay with him while we were gone. He was fine. Honestly, he probably had more fun with his grandma than he would’ve had touring old ruins and castles and stuff. 😂

Honestly Mormons are so successful in MLMs because of how big their community of people is. I grew up LDS, and you have a HUGE outreach of people in your area. Most Sunday meeting groups are around 100 people- the same 100 people weekly who you know by name who live in your neighborhood. Then there are also greater area activities where again, you'll know everyone. They do things in huge groups so its really easy to find people to sell to its bonkers.

Thoughts: 1) I bet her linked in that says she worked for the LDS church was for a mission (which is unpaid labor for 18-24 months and aspects of it fit the BITE model perfectly) and not an actual job. 2) The way she talks at the end of the first video, and baring a testimony of Monat is exactly how I, and other sister missionaries sounded when we’d bare a testimony of the gospel. I hated how we all sounded like that but there was something culturally ingrained in all of us to teach like that.

I will say, if I'm going to be going to a job for 40 hours a week it *does* have to be interesting and fulfilling for me. With my personality I don't think I could be someone who is content with having the fulfilling things only outside my work life! But I totally get that might not apply to everyone. I do hope everyone can have a job that they at least enjoy and get something out of considering we spend so much time working. I'm lucky to have found that :).

What’s ridiculous is that the majority of these anti-corporate boss babes have NEVER even been in a corporate role. Having an hourly retail/fast food job is a lot different (not job shaming, just stating the obvious) than the benefits that come with having a “cOrPoRaTe 9-5” job & they conveniently forget that Monat is a corporation, where people work 9-5 & get benefits and PTO 😂😂😂

Shes not acting like she retired her hubby. So he’s working (who knows if it’s at home or not). If he’s not working at home, then her working at home isn’t giving her more time with him than any 40 hour work week couple. Bringing up this topic requires i.m.o. more info to understand what was her job, what are their work hours, and how much more time are they getting available to spend with each other? That’s personal info, but if it’s used to make a sale (get someone to join), then that should also be mentioned. That kind of topic brings up more questions. Most people avoid that by saying that they retired their hubby (either that’s true or not) or that they’re both in the mlm. Does anyone else feel that way about what this lady said.

Food service jobs are the worst. I can understand it having changed her mind on wanting to ever work outside of home. I'm positive customers were totally the worst to her and not being able to have a decent wage as a server must've been horrible.
I used to rely on tips as a grooming assistant and I worked full time. I didn't get as much tips as the other girl bc I was not only introverted but also not super glammed up. On days where I consistently wore make up I made lots of tips which really made me feel ugly. I don't feel like how pretty I look had to do with how hard I worked.

It’s so weird to me how similar the reasons huns list for joining MLMs are similar to the benefits of being a photographer, or other service-based self-employed business.
Before committing full-time to running my photography business I worked a customer service job at the airport. There were MANY days spent crying there, quietly praying to get hit by a car walking the mile in from the parking lot, and having absolutely NO control of my schedule. I’m so much happier where I am, even though my income is totally reliant on my efforts and being a business owner is no joke.
I wish network marketers could be fined every time they claim to own their own business and would stay out of our local Business Owner community groups! MLM’s should make smart watches for their reps to wear that correct false claims… and maybe zaps them when they make them! 😉
