I have an acer 240hz gsync monitor but it won't work with this laptop as far as I know it has to be displayport?
@@typerightseesight If your monitor has an HDMI port you would plug directly into that, but if your monitor only has a DisplayPort, what you could do is buy an HDMI adapter for your DisplayPort cable and then you'll still be able to get the 240hz at 1080p!
It's a confusing one because I am aware it can do gsync through the gpu but not through the motherboard so I am assuming the hdmi port on the laptop is directly coming from the gpu? I know if I use the hdmi port on mine it doesn't work. For some reason it has to be the display port. its an older acer monitor. it even has a hdmi 1.4 port. lmao@@TechAuditTV
You need a Thunderbolt to DP cable :)
Its also very easy to remove the 30 fps cap on battery power. Overall a nice review, thank you!

Hello@@FoxxOnYT, One easy way is to go into GeForce Experience and click on - Settings, then Games, then Turn OFF Battery Boost. There are other ways in the Control Panel but let me know if this Geforce Experience method works for you =)

@@TechAuditTV honestly bro cause i’m always on the move tbh and i don’t ever really stay at one place to long not gonna lie i like to be portal and be able to move around as for my work it requires me to move a lot but i still love to game with the buds OW2 and R6 but i want a nice beefy gaming laptop one that can do literally everything that’s why i was asking do you know out of all gaming laptops no matter price which is the absolute best in your opinion
Fair enough! That's tough to say because really there are a lot of great options. Even on the Helios model I tested, which is their lowest one, I felt I could play any game I wanted. Like the specs are solid. Once you move above that $1500 price point, what you start paying for is better screen resolution and better GPU/CPU. If you are going all in on your laptop being your primary gaming console and are fine paying for those upgraded specs, the top of the line Helios (which I have linked in the description) might be right up your alley.

I picked up a Helios 16 and upgraded the RAM to 32gb as soon as i opened it and it’s been amazing. I use it for my engineering schoolwork and gaming and it performs flawlessly.
Does the 16GB ram was in dual channel or single channel?

How is the battery life?
@@superchessmachine It’s not the worst. About what you can expect for a gaming laptop. Power saving modes help. I haven’t had any issues getting about 3-4 hours of use while doing schoolwork and watching UA-cam videos.
Have you tried any more advanced power saving settings (powerconfg settings or bios tweaks)? How is the bios settings, are you able to change power limits?@@rav004

Like many gaming laptops, it's one that you'll be charging often. If you're not gaming unplugged you can easily get a full day on it with regular usage. If you're on it non-stop and mixing in some gaming, you're looking at half a day before needing a charge.
