I'm not necessarily the biggest Black Keys fan but I've been listening to this new record and gotta say this song in particular ("How Long") is probably one of the best songs I've ever heard in my life. I cannot stop listening to it. The way the song builds, those first two verses, that amazing guitar solo, the way the song unfolds ... this is the most perfect zone-out aimless-drive songs I've ever heard. They should've made this the first single as I think its the type of song that can connect with anyone. It's 100% perfect, been on repeat for over half an hour now, just a flawless piece of perfection.

Yeah, I think with the actual Chorus in chorus 2, it would make much less sense to have 2 actual choruses in the song.
Having 1 climax right in the middle of the song sets a really nice build-up and taper-off which I'm sure a lot of people appreciate. It's smooth, comfortable, groovy
Great assessment. I passed this track over listening to it the first time but it's become my favorite on the album. This would be a great track live too.

Man, I really enjoyed the album, but I wish there were more songs like this one in it, a bit more chill, but still with that Black Keys groove and a killer solo.

First saw these guys waaaaaaay back in 2006 and was in awe wondering how much sound could possibly come from just two guys. Been so cool to see them blow up over the years, genuinely cool dudes and very happy to see they 'made it' in a big way.
These dudes made it in 2010, this is relatively weak compared to their former greatness
This is their best song since Turn Blue I think

Decisamente la migliore canzone. Ha una mallinconica anima soul che mantiene fino allo splendido ritornello,bellissimo l'incedere 'storto' della batteria, le frasi di chitarra e il solo sono davvero di grande livello e gusto. Non riesco a smettere di ascoltarla,è maledettamente bella.

I was getting a trippy Pink Floyd vibe. At one point it almost felt/sounded like the instrumental part of Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
Had a listen but that is more reggae and different chords, Its more likely this is heavily Influenced by Diamond In the Back by Curtis Mayfield especially the flow of the chorus on that song.
