There are many great stories to tell about our culture, our language and our heritage. Unfortunately, we are losing these very fast. Thank you for bringing this to the fore and let me add this, I learnt "Post-Proverbial" under Prof RemRaj as such, I am not surprised hearing this from him. Keep telling the story, the world wants to hear from great souls like you. My very best wishes
It was great to work with Ayo Adams who traced us to Ile Adegboro before we realised we have all been studying together in the Faculty of Arts, UI. The research material was waiting for the right person, and Ayo's passion was unmistakable. There is more to the Adegboro legend the remains and other versions of it still alive in Lagos and Benin Republic of today. Our riches run so deep to be taken for granted.
Wow......20 mins well spent on this insightful piece. Kudos to Ayo, Adenike Lanleyin my beautiful sister and the whole team. Looking forward to more!!!
The Oyo state government should encourage all the landlords in this state to start changing their brown roof to something modern. The houses looked tired at the moment and should be changed.
Orowusi became the bale because his nephew Ogundepo who was the warrior and part of the founding 'patriachs' of Ibadan land whose turn it was to become the bale said, he couldn't sit still and not go to war so his uncle who he "purchased" should be made bale on his behalf. Ogundepos descendants and Ogundepos compound is still in existence. Pls, let's promote the right and correct history
One thing though - being British that forced British accent is incredibly cringe. Whoever is narrating should speak freely it would make the video more authentic.
Why are you telling a prominent Yoruba peoples story with English, we need to get out of this slavery mentality, u could have spoke Yoruba and put English translation for people who doesn’t understand it
Pls who are the persons who dislike this beautiful work?
Am happy to be member of adegboro family
Thank you Ayo Adams, this is so insightful. I particularly like the way that man who directed your bike smiled when he was talking about the proverb.
Tito! Thank you very much
This is a great piece. I lived with my grannies around Kudeti/Odo Oba area. And great to know my Prof is the Mogaji of Adegboro.
Thank you very much
The powers of DNA. Thank you Prof. RemRaj.

Ibadan people should be thinking about renovating their houses since people are still living there..

What if the Oyingbo in question is the one in Ijebu-Ode too?
Good content bro, setup a Patreon so we can support you

No. not building a big house at oja oba, but cannot be like adegboro at oja oba. Referring to his exploit and merriment during festivals at OJA-OBA.
Orowusi was not a warrior but Ogundepo was. Pls, let's get fact right
One thing though - being British that forced British accent is incredibly cringe. Whoever is narrating should speak freely it would make the video more authentic.
Orowusi did not fight any war? Pls, let's get facts cross checked
