I bought one of these new in the 80's and still have it for bass. Didn't know it could sound that good.

A lot of smaller sized bass amps are actually better for guitar. TS-25B is one of the better sounding solid state amps I have heard.

Good video. I'm having the same loud buzz/hum problem and this should help me a lot.

I believe these are 25 watts as the model number indicates. I A-B'd this amp with an all tube Traynor YBA-2 (15 - 18 watts) and they were similar in volume... about right since solid state amps usually need a little more wattage to compete with a tube amp.

I have the same amp. I am experiencing an intermittent scratchy sound from the normal input jack. If I wiggle the guitar cord it seems to go away. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this problem. Also all my pots have scratchy sound when turning the knobs. They have been cleaned with Deoxit and blown out with air gun. Seems to help for a short time but then comes back. Any ideas would help. I love the amp as a guitar amp and would love to keep it in good condition.

Were the pots cleaned from inside the amp or just from outside? For Deoxit to be really effective, you need to spray it directly into the pot casing from where the contacts protrude. Your input jack may have a loose wire, may be making poor contact with the chassis inside, or may have a worn tab not making solid contact with the plug. These should be simple fixes for an amp tech in your area or even a general electrical repair person. Do not open the chassis yourself if you are not trained in avoiding potential hazards from high voltage.

@@ptwamps3682 Yes the pots were cleaned and blown out by a technician and i also did it again just after sending you the text. I seemed to help. Guess I just have to do it periodically. as for the input jack i took a closer look and at the contacts and made some minor adjustments to it and it is cleared up now. Sound perfect. I really like this amp. thanks for the tips.
