The senior citizens are not given any concession in taxable income. They are treated on par with general citizens. Do you presume that the medical expenses are the same for both category. Moreover there are senior citizens who depend on their own pension for living without any helping hand from their sons or relatives. This basic idea has not been taken care of by FM. How the mlas and mps are allotted free bungalows and subsidised foods at parliament canteen. Are they the the poorest people when compared to the poor state government pensioner who is denied of even retirement benefits and arrears of da etc. pointing out reasons created by the ruling parties and mismanagement of state run psus for their welfare and misappropriation of funds.
