    A tiny bit about myself:
    Hi, my name is Ivelisse. I've been artistic and creative my whole life. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy one. I'm a survivor of many trials and tribulations. It caused me to develop serious mental health issues. I was self-medicating by using drugs and alcohol for over twenty years. On August 1st, 2014, I threw myself at the mercy of the Lord and prayed to God to save me. I asked God to forgive me for all my sins, and I forgave everyone who ever hurt me. I've been sober and clean ever since. Glory be to God! I started my walk with Christ along with my health and fitness Journey, and soon after, I found myself itching to get back to my passion, my art! But: I didn't just want to do it for myself. I wanted to share what God blessed me with and did for me and the joy He brings me to others. Not long after, I created my UA-cam channel, DIY No Need To Cry! I took the bottles that were killing me and turned them into art. With each piece I make, I replace a bad memory and create new ones with all of you! Welcome to the crafty fam! God bless you all!

    First i want to say i love the way the bottle came out. i want to create the cracked look on a wine bottle but I want to use white and gold paint. so do i paint the bottle white and then gold and then use the Elmer's glue and then repaint white?

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  7 років тому +1

      Hello and thank you! Yes, you could do it that way or give it multiple layers of gold. The only reason I use white before adding any color is because it helps the colors pop more and for coverage... sort of like putting white primer on your eyes before putting eye shadow on. I find that it works best with white under. So yes, the way you said is the way I would go about it. Make sure to use the Elmer's Glue All Multi-Purpose Glue only. It takes some practice so try it a couple of times on one spot of a glass jar you don't need (spaghetti sauce, pickle, etc) before doing it on the bottle. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask and I'll help as much as I can. :)

    Decoupage is new to me and I just want you to know that your videos and how you teach are excellant! I have learned so much and now I can incorporate this with my tole painting! Thank you!
    I do have a question. . I am crackling bottles, but when I go back to decoupage the crackle lifts up!
    I reached the bottles and used the white vinegar. I put on the school glue over the glass and added the acrylic paint. I even tried spraying the crackle with Krylon varnish. Still came up!
    Do you have any suggestions?
    Thank you for your help and anyone else who has input is much appreciated.

    Absolutely gorgeous. I don't have any Elmers glue, do you think it would work if I used Mod Podge where you used the Elmers? I'm loving your videos, Honey. Sending you some love from England.xxx

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  7 років тому +1

      Awww thanks Laura! Unfortunately Mod Podge will not work. I believe any white school glue will work. It just can't be PVA glue for some reason. I think it has something to do with the ingredients in the glues. So I would suggest using any none PVA white glue to try this. Also, in the video, I say to wait a couple of seconds before applying the paint. Don't do that, as I found out when I tried it again that it's better if you apply it right away after placing the glue. Hope that helps! :) XOXO

    Hi pls can you explain after applying the cut out napkins should we apply a coat of modpage gloss lustre lustre and keep it dry and later put a coat of modpoge matt finish. Pls guide me on this, also would like to know if these bottles if when put underwater is spoilt does the water affect the decoupage bottle

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  7 років тому

      I used the Mod Podge Gloss to give it one more seal before spraying it with the matte spray, if I had the mod podge matte, in liquid form, at the time, I would have used that. So you can use whatever Mod Podge you want prior to spraying it but preferably matte. :)

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  5 років тому

      Thank you and I don't drink either. I get mine from family and friends but you can use anything made of glass and it will work! Apple cider bottle, glass ketchup bottle, sparkling water glass bottle, glass mason jars, glass vases.... you might even be able to do it on a plastic bottle, but I'm not 100% sure about that 🤔😆 I learned this technique from people doing it on wood so you can do it on wood as well! Hope that helps! Happy crafting! 🤗🙏

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry

      This was old and I believe I did that for two reasons. One was so it would spray out of the bottles and two, I didn't want too much paint on it. Honestly though, you could totally skip this step and just paint directly on the bottle with the random colors. :)

    I would like to try this on a clear bottle so then I insert lights inside. Which steps should I follow?
    Paint? (can that be chalk paint?)
    Glue and then tissues? and glue again?
    Thanks

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  7 років тому +1

      Hello, If you want the lights to shine through the cracks, you can't paint the first layer. So what you want to do is... go straight into placing the glue directly onto the clear bottle and then paint over the glue. Yes you can use chalk paint. Let that crack and dry and then glue on the paper napkin designs. Hope that helps and that sounds like a great idea! :)

    • @bebbuxukwiet2301

      Sorry for asking again, so after I put the glue on do I leave that to dry completely or half dry and then chalk paint? Can I use a hair dryer for a quick dry?

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  7 років тому

      It's okay, you can ask me as many questions as it'll take, until you get it. lol Place the glue and immediately after that place the paint over it. So, NO, don't let the glue dry. Yes, use a hair dryer on cool setting to dry it. Matter fact I think you'll get the best cracks that way. :)
