I never really cared for Celeste back when I was new to the fandom. All I know of her is that she's got a cute design, she's apparently a fan favorite, she got two people killed, and.... yeah, I never really bothered looking up on her character up until I got the chance to learn more about her. And boy, was I fascinated with her! After learning more about her, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She wanted to be someone extraordinary from the rest, so her only way of doing so is to be a complete liar. She hides her insecurities through her Celestia Ludenberg facade, and judging by the ranking system she gave Makoto, she's got trust issues, and is unable to form a stable relationship, because if she's able to form a friendship with someone, and they reject her, her true self (Taeko), would be destroyed emotionally. And I understand the fact that she was a horrible person for the stunt she pulled off in Chapter Three, but I really think that at least her motive is better than killing for some dead person you like but hates you, or killing for your dead sister because you wanted incest so badly. The one last thing I'd like to point out is that before her execution, she decided to accept her defeat by giving Kyoko the key to Alter Ego. If she still held a grudge towards her other classmates, she would've just kept the key to her grave (or her storage in the bio lab rather), but instead, she chose to gave it to someone she trusted the most. She saw the true meaning of hope, but unfortunately, it was all too late for her. And by the time she said her final words, it had struck to me that she's officially my favorite character in the entire Danganronpa series. Anyway, I just think that Celeste was an interesting character while she lasted. I bet she would've been as helpful as Byakuya if she survived the killing game. RIP Queen Taeko, may you live happily in another life. :')
My favorite Due was Kirigiri and Celeste when she was found as the murderer I was sad because she wasn't going to be a survivor and let's be honest if she had been a survivor instead of hagakure she would've been an amazing character heck the best survivors would've been Sakura, Celeste, Kirigiri, Byakuya, and Makoto they would've been so amazing as survivors she is my favorite character and the way she just gave in and accepted her lose I wasn't scared of her death it just made me scream in happiness because her execution she was smiling and although she was gone she left as a great character and I love her as my favorite character she played an important role to the defeat of Monokuma and exposing Junko and even at the end she was hoping in their other life to meet again she truly is my favorite character
Honestly in the games she WAS pretty helpful during class trials. Makoto, Kyoko, Byakuya and her were always the ones to talk about important stuff, but in this anime a lot of her lines were given to Kyoko
