If the Mavs finish 4th in the West, Luka should be a lock to win the MVP
He should be a lock regardless!!! I hate how they keep moving the goalposts when it comes to Luka. Westbrook won mvp & got swept in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Ion understand how pundits keep saying he needs better seeding or he needs to make a finals run to win mvp, y is this standard not in place for everyone else? I’m so over these nba politics!

It's not only about the Lukai tandem great as they are but as well as the Gafford-Lively- PJ Washingto trio.
Don’t sleep on Exum and DJJ too they’re important as well. And as much as I hate to say it THJ is probably the most important if he hits his 3s we don’t loose but he’s very inconsistent.
Mavs injuries have been heavy this season…more than any other team in playoff contention (ie ignore Grizzlies and their fake tanking injuries and firearm suspensions)
Lively and Gafford, solid D, blocks, rebounds, very high shooting %, 10+ ppg each, they never get tired or foul out, they together may be the best Center in the game. This gives Luka and Kyrie the freedom they need to dominate. At this point only the Nuggets may be able to stop them.
.... every team in the league has talent.... right now the Mavs have a ton of talent and..... Chemistry!! .... on any given night, and had a few recently, where the 3's just weren't dropping, they attacked the paint instead. And in every case lately, the defense gave 'em a chance.... some of the best one-on-one defenders in the NBA. Even Luka is getting involved.... and as far as MVP??? Name a player who had six 30-pt triple doubles in a row with a topped off with a 7th triple-double???!!!! Ask the Joker... he knows! ..... so knock on wood, barring any big injuries, the Mavs will go deep!!!😁😁😁

I hate when people compare this Dallas team to the year prior… they had Dwight Powell as their starting center for crying out loud and all the role players were not ready for that next step like Luka and Kyrie was. Now it’s a completely different team with guys ready to build something. Championship may not be this year but next year? Without a doubt they have a chance

When Kyrie was traded, I feared it would be the Mavericks + Kyrie. What is unfolding in front of my eyes is nothing short of amazing.
Kyrie is now a MAVERICK and looking back this may become one of his most iconic stops
….and they are going to be peaking while other teams won’t have the same excitement to have such a vibing cast of newness.

I've had Luka as mvp for almost whole season, but Jokic! They are probably already etching his name on the mvp trophy.. it doesn't matter anyway, the games are exciting to watch and even Wemby in one of the worst teams right now gives 5-10min highlights to watch, and it's fun!

The Mavs had the 8th ranked defense in 2021-22 with both Luka and Brunson in the backcourt, and Kyrie is a better defender Brunson, and Luka is a better defender now than he was then.
