It takes strength to forgive your enemies for atrocities and the German people had none left after the disastrous 20s and 30s.

@@frankrohr8108There are definitely a lot of technical issues here. As you say, Hitler began most of his speeches in a calm, methodical way before building toward a frenzied crescendo. But there are two other considerations: his accent and microphone technology at the time.
Most Anglophone countries have a "neutral" accent that is considered more "professional" or "mainstream" than the others, e.g., the Received Pronunciation or BBC presenter accent in the UK vs the Geordie or Lilipudian or Manchester or Cockney accents. Other languages have this as well. Here, the recreation uses an early-mid 20th century Transatlantic accent, which was the preferred manner of speaking for American broadcasters. Hitler did not have the "prestigious" Berlin accent, so an English accent that is more regionally identifiable would make the effect more lifelike.
As for the second point, most microphones of the time weren't great at picking up the lower registers of peoples' voices, hence the reason that everyone seems to have had much more highly pitched voices back then. The secret recording of the Hitler-Mannerheim conversation gives a better idea of what his "warm up" voice would have sounded like.

“Well over 2 million women and children were raped at the end of the war. Many of them died or killed themself as a result.”
In Czechoslovakia, they lined German civilians up (many of whom had lived there for centuries), and ran over their legs with trucks. They forced them to dig their own graves. Not all of them were German. Some of them just spoke German.
12 million German civilians were expelled across Eastern Europe-force stripped of their homes and property and citizenry for the crime of speaking German. he tried to exterminate an entire race and take over Europe + Russia. His actions are indefensible, and sickening. Him talking about how Germany was treated after WW1 has validity. They took the brunt of the blame for the war, when in reality WW1 didn’t really have a “good” or “bad” side, and Germany didn’t really start it. WW2 is just a whole different story. Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany are two of the most despicable, truly evil entities to ever exist. Both countries were committing rampant atrocities. Whatever points Hitler made in his speeches that have any ounce of validity, go right down the drain after he tried to DELETE A WHOLE CULTURE. That’s the whole fucking point, he was a politician that brainwashed a country. We weren’t lied to, there is no possible defense of ADOLF HITLER. You are truly an idiot

What gave him credibility was his "purple heart" though. Since he was wounded while fighting WW1 he probably knew exactly how most veterans felt about the war. It's not that Hitler turned Germany nazi. The resentment against France and the Allies radicalized them, and then this radical party elected the most charismatic of them. If you look at history books, most of western Europe was as religiously intolerant as Germany for most of their history, and some countries like the US and Japan were even more racist.

@@korosuke1788 Let's also remind ourselves that the Nazis strongest showing in any election not long prior to taking total power, was about 1/3rd of the total vote (or around 34% of all votes), and the SPD (Social Democrats) and Communist KPD alone equaled or outnumbered them, while there was also strong Center party support on top of that, so it's not as if the majority of Germans were super enthused about Hitler. The SPD's leaders basically begged the KPD to grow up and work together with them to stop Hitler, but the KPD's leader, Ernst Thalmann, refused.
Their newspaper, "The Red Flag" suggested he would be such a joke and failure, that it would naturally push people towards Communism, and that the SPD were merely fascists in disguise - an ironic claim, considering the Stalinist KPD were clearly authoritarian, while the SPD's party members had the courage to vote down the Enabling Act, knowing they didn't have the votes to stop it with brownshirts surrounding the chamber, knowing it was putting a target on their backs. At that point the KPD had already been banned and Thalmann was arrested. He was executed at Buchenwald in 1944, as Germany was rapidly losing the war, after 11 years of torture and solitary confinement.

No, they understood that his way of speaking and his ability to pull people into his evil ways by way of passionate speeches that sounded good on their face was an extremely dangerous weapon, and they were afraid of the idiots we see here misunderstanding and actually just falling for it all over again. But that's happening now anyway.
I, for one, believe that history shouldn't be censored, because it causes ignorance, which just causes history to repeat itself. Maybe if they hadn't censored Hitler we wouldn't be seeing a wave of people curious about Hitler and saying "hmm, he doesn't sound so bad".

Because he didn't get the job done so the world has remained in this same cycle of disharmony and violence whilst they profiteer for the last 2,000 years. There was a good reason millennia of peoples all agreed that the Jews should not be allowed to own any land whatsoever. Because you give them an inch and they will take an entire region as we are seeing them do in real time over the last 70 years. The word 'Bourgeois' comes from the old French for town dweller/Borough. Wealthy people didn't live in towns they had land and country houses. i come back to this a lot because it’s scary how much perspective can change things. now that i can understand him, if i were a citizen of germany at the time i think i would actually vote for him. i know it sounds crazy to say but if you look at the treaty of versailles and see how much germany was fucked over, the country had every right to be upset. obviously i don’t actually support his beliefs but on a logical level and putting yourself in their shoes; your country is destroyed by the war and you’ve accepted all blame aimed towards you, now you’re trying to get it rebuilt. because of the war you have a bunch of migrants coming into your country when you _just_ lost land in the treaty. you ask the other countries if they could take some of the immigrants because your economy is deteriorating and you dont have room in the first place, but the countries that _do_ have space just shrug and tell you to kick rocks. all while your economy continues to crash, population rises and everyone just watches
it’s a tough situation and i don’t think any countries would’ve been willing to help in fear of the same happening to their own country, i think a war would’ve been inevitable at some point because people will always fight for what _they_ will believe is right
