+evansdrumheads *I have a problem with head availability.* For Shinoda Hall, OMS Japanese Christian Church (Walnut Creek, CA, USA), the YAMAHA® RY2T4 four-piece with MSD14AF center drum really needs particularly heavy heads for the low pitches necessary to tame the historical overprojection for the space: Snare: Heavyweight Reverse Dot coated, Reso 7 (as snare-side). Toms: Heavyweight Reverse Dot coated, G14 coated (as resonant). Kick: EMAD Heavyweight, EQ3 Frosted Batter (as resonant).
I believe this was his warming up...

Nope, jojo mayer plays jungle and drum and bass beats, those styles are electronic music styles from the 90´s and early 2000. damien schmitt also plays these kind of beats but i don't think that he is trying to imitate jojo. Since both of them play these kind of beats they are similar, but it's like saying that papa jo jones was trying to imitate art blakey because both of them played jazz...

Il n’y a pas que Jojo Mayer qui est bon en drum n bass! Même si c’est le meilleur et que techniquement il fait avancer la batterie.
Damien Schmitt est plus rock là où JOjo mayer est très Jazz.
Et y’a aussi Johnny Rabb en excellent batteur de drum n bass

Je suis d’accord pour dire que Mayer, Colaiuta, ou d’autres comme Benny Greb, Peter Erskine, etc... sont une catégorie au dessus.
Mais Schmidt n’est pas « mauvais » pour autant. En plus en France on en a pas beaucoup. Il a le mérite, en France, d’avoir une carrière internationale.
