Hey! I'm here again lol So, +5 STARS+ by my queen CL. Storywise, I'm not so sure about the placing of the MV, I guess it goes before So Beautiful? It may be showing the differences in the point of views of the pair; CL is happy but IAN is having his own struggles with his mental health and all that; maybe it all got triggered by a break up? Or maybe they broke up because of those struggles? The obvious connections on the MV are the locations, they filmed this at the same time they filmed So Beautiful, so there's that. Fun fact, the people dancing with them are other DPR members! I'm hoping someone can expand on this later in the comments, because although I know there's a connection there, I'm lost on exactly what that is. *ALL of DPR IAN songs are in English, I think the only song he used ONE korean word was MOOD, from his album MIITO. In No Blueberries in particular, DPR LIVE does rap some korean verses, but that's mostly it. So, No Blueberries. IAN said in his documentary about this album (Mood Swings In This Order) that he wrote this song when he was angry about something he doesn't remember now, but in it he talks about the people you don't associate yourself with, like, people that even if you try you just can't get along with, and how he related that to blueberries. So, see at the start of the video, it's clear that he doesn't like blueberries, and assuming because of the editing on that scene, it may be a trigger for him (I'm talking about his character, not him irl lol idk if he really hates blueberries or not). So the whole video is him either running form the "Blueberry Monster" (as he calls it lol) orrr switching into Mito to see if Mito can beat it or protect him from it. There are other interpretations for this song too; some people interpreted it as a metaphor of how anything, even a tiny blueberry, can be a trigger for anyone. And other people said that "blueberry" can be a slang that refers to a medication, oxycodone, if I recall correctly. Idk if this last one is confirmed tho. Oh! And if you watch So Beautiful's ending scene, in the background you can hear No Blueberries's instrumental! If I said something incorrectly, anyone can correct me!
Hiiii! I'm not sure if you noticed but they're in the same forest and the same house as so beautiful! (Notice the painting on the wall above the sofa is the same). You also see a flash of the same location right at the beginning of No Blueberries. Fun fact: the extras in No Blueberries are other members of DPR The meaning of No Blueberries is very much up to interpretation up to this date, at least for the MV so all interpretation and theories is welcome tbh, we just know from what he has told that the MV is set in the future. He made this song around 2018 to talk about people he can't associate himself with. There is still a debate on the exact place where No Blueberries and Five Star fit into the storyline but they're important. I'm happy to hear you like DPR Live's flow. He is one of the founding members of DPR! He also has his one storyline through the Is Anybody Out There era and album where he is an astronaut in the outer space. And he recently released his newest album Giggles last January under his real name with is own new label CTYL: Dabin. (He still is in DPR). The follow up to No Blueberries in the storyline is the Scaredy Cat MV, and the Welcome To The Show Teaser. Scaredy Cat was supposed to be with Mito on screen, but he wouldn't come so Ian had to act, it's one of the only videos where he really had to act. And Welcome To The Show is a fan favorite! Again, thank you for your reaction, it's amazing to see new people getting into DPR!
I’m loving your reactions to Ian ❤❤
