Make-A-Wish is great for those kids & their families. Glad they do what they do.
I would rather support Make-A-wish than any other organizations.
Awww I love you taking on the Make-A-Wish request with that kid! It's awesome and wholesome. 😊
Love seeing the camaraderie between the teams in these behind-the-scenes videos.
Was a great fight, and showed just how well built and reliable witch doctor can be, as well as how well Mike can drive. Congratulations on your #3 seed!
I wish all teams did this behind the scenes videos
I'm really liking seeing some teams videos this season
They could push more of the pits hush on TV too, and tune down the annoying fillers each episode
Skorpios, Ray Billings and Chomp have nice youtube channels if you’re into this stuff. I’m sure there’s even more.
Lasting 3 minutes with a mismatched parts version of WD is absolutely amazing in itself!!!
I honestly think WD even got the biggest and best hit of the match! 👌
Thank you Andrea for your video birthday message. God Bless you and all your team Andrea. This has been the best birthday I have ever had. Thank you so much
That one shot that sent Minotaur flying was amazing. Peak driving by Mike
Minotaur is my favorite bot, but respect to you guys, you really gave Minotaur a run for its money. That was a brutal and close fight. Congrats to both of you for a excellent rematch
É muito bom ver os dois times juntos. Conheço pessoalmente o turma da RioBotz e espero um dia ver ao vivo uma luta da BattleBots em Las Vegas.
Love these videos, really appreciate your team sharing them. It's a fascinating look into what goes into the sport and those who make it possible behind the scenes, not just in front of the cameras during the "three minutes of terror" 😀
We love making them, so we're glad you're enjoying.
Hah, sandstorm 😂
But it was a great battle. Hope the last 32 went well!
That was good fight against Minotaur. A for Effort. Good Luck against Jackpot in Round of 32. I hope you have voodoo magic for that fight, because things can go insane inside the BattleBox.
Fantastic team. I like the commitment, joy, and friendliness of the team as well as the self-care by wearing masks. Stay healthy and rock!
Finally got hooked on Battle Bots. I think Grant Imahara was even a contestant before Myth Busters
Lasting three whole minutes in the ring with a team like Minotaur is a huge achievement. Mad props to a job well done.
Also, still waiting for the "Angle Grinding in a Sandstorm" music video.
minotaur is by far my favorite bot based on the funny faces the driver makes
may have a bit of a funky idea.. overrunning clutches on each weapon drive, lose one motor, might lose half of the weapon power, but can still spin it up and hit.. likely have to be some crazy tough parts, though..
Can't imagine what it meant to WIll to walk your bot out to the arena!
From your Italian supporter, keep going! Thanks for new videos too
Thank you!
does anyone know what bot/parts are on the other teams cart at 4:56? I'm either not getting a good look or having a brainfart
I just realized its Starchhild without wheels or the cover! im used to seeing them with the hanging cart
Was an Awesome fight. I think Witch Dr won by a mile but Battlebots had to even the score I guess. Great job Guys!
This was a tough one for sure, but I can see where the judges were coming from.
Damage is 3-2 to Minotaur. In terms of functional damage, minotaur were able to spin their drum at the closing bell (even if only a little). According to the Judges' damage sliding scale, total loss of a system (WD's weapon) is more significant than partial loss of 2 systems (Minotaur's compromised weapon and drive).
Control is 2-1 to Minotaur, as Minotaur pinned and pushed Witch Doctor more than Witch Doctor did them.
Aggression is 2-1 Witch Doctor, as they had the strength of drive consistently to continue to attack, and Minotaur on multiple occasions had to retreat to spin their drum back up.
Final score is 6-5. Close as hell, but by the rules as written it seems pretty clear cut.
I wasn't rooting for either team heading into this match, but after last year's farcical affair (in no part due to the actions of the teams, neither of whom did anything wrong) I just wanted this fight to be clean. And it was. Both teams proved their prestige, and it was awesome to watch.
I completely admire your attitude towards Minotaur. I have nothing against ALMOST all of the team members... except Daniel Freitas. Because of the way he acted last year, I''d really hoped you'd have a decisive win just to shut him up. (Marco on the other hand seems like a really nice guy.) Maybe it's just the way they show him on TV... but I REALLY hate his attitude. I've even grown to love Jake Ewert, who plays a really fun "bad guy."
I look forward to anybody who takes down Minotaur as long as Daniel is part of the team. I'm truly sorry for his losses, but one of my rules for Battlebots and for life is no matter what happens, don't be a jerk.
Thank you guys for keeping it classy. I could have seen the votes from the judges going the other way, with them crab-walking at the end. It was a very tight match. Maybe this will calm Daniel down now. I really hope so.
It was an amazing fight…. Maybe 70 percent was a bit too much for the weapon? Always a huge fan.. hope you killed it in the round of 32.
After watching the match a split decision would not have surprised me. One or two good hits in the corner could have tipped the scales Witch Doctor's way.
By the rules as written, I'm not surprised it was unanimous. Hella close, but pretty clear cut.
Damage is 3-2 to Minotaur, as Loss of a system (Witch Doctor's weapon) trumps partial loss of 2 Systems (Minotaur's compromised but still technically functioning drive and drum).
Control is 2-1 to minotaur as they pinned and pushed witch doctor more than witch doctor did them.
Aggression is 2-1 to Witch Doctor, as they had the strength of drive to chase and attack for the whole fight, and Minotaur had to retreat on a few occasions to try and get speed back into their drum.
Final score is 6-5. Close as hell, but the decision is fair.
Minotaur crab walked back to their square which counts as non functional per the judges guide. Thier weapon was also down? Or did they spin it up at the end? I'd assumed the judges had gone for 2-1 aggression to minotaur to get the final 6-5.
Doesn't really matter for either team, given the final seedings doesn't seem much in it for #1 vs #3
@@timp2751 I know that was the case for last year, but I was under the belief that had changed for this year. I apologise if I am mistaken.
(And yes, Minotaur did spin their drum to demonstrate functionality after the fight.)
If that's the case then a) that's bull, cos half functioning drive is HALF FUNCTIONAL, and b) Witch Doctor wins, cos no way to Minotaur get the 2-1 in aggression o.O
Ah yea just looked at the fotw upload and though it cuts away after the buzzer for a second, when it cuts back there's a few turns from the drum. Can't really tell from the edit whether it got high enough to convince the judges. If it did then that may have tipped it as that would have minotaur with 1 at functionality (drive) and 1 at effectiveness (weapon) whilst witch doctor had 1 at functionality (weapon) and 2 at effectiveness (drive and defense - due to the mostly useless forks!)
Crab walking changed for the purposes of counting out but the damage section in the judges guide is unchanged from last year:
Functionality Examples
Drive: Non-functional drive on one side that forces crab-walking.
Defensibility: Large portions of the defensive structure torn off, with exposed internals.
Weapon: Spinning weapon no longer rotates, or only rotates slowly.
Effectiveness Examples
Drive: Bent axle, chunks or entire wheel missing but still able to travel in a relatively straight line.
Defensibility: Torn off wedgelets, significant bends, removal of small supplemental armor pieces.
Self-righting mechanism is bent, but still functions.
Weapon: Missing teeth/head, spinning part imbalance, bent parts, how well it’s able to operate.
First! Also an amazing fight!
I would love to see witch doctor fight banshee
What did Banshee do to you

Not sure how you lost this. Disabled drive and weapon on minotaur, disabled weapon on yours..... Hmmmm
Compromised* drive and weapon on minotaur. Their drum was able to spin at the end of the fight, so the system is considered damaged, not destroyed.
Loss of a system (witch doctor's weapon) is weighted more heavily in the judges' sliding scale of damage allocation than partial loss of 2 systems.
Control then goes to Minotaur, and Aggression to Witch Doctor. Decision seemed fair by the rules to me.
This year has by far my favourite judges criteria of battlebots yet, but it's still not a perfect system. I do however appreciate that it's being followed
MINOTAUR 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Always great seeing new videos from you guys
You guys are the best. So kind and nothing but class!! 🎩
AAhhh maan......spoiler warning at least
Awesome sponsors bots have up the game for final round of 32. Probably some good testing of battery heat when bots near 2 minute mark see puffs of smoke on those pushing matches. Not much room for errors.
gogogo team witch doctor.. u can win this season
Whats up with the black masks?
Who tf is Will
McDonald's? It is about Raising Cane's.
We get Raising Canes when we win!
Now the dust has settled and we are now tournament bracket time. Witch doctor vs jackpot should be interesting, and hopefully we get witch doctor vs lockjaw, both s1 vets
Witch Doctor is my most favorite team.hexbug should make a witch doctor and mammoth rivels set or ribbot or GRUFF or maybe glitch
REALLY Appreciate that these are available! So Fun to feel like we get to be there vicariously in a small way!
Omg witch doctor did so good in this fight, AMAZING job guys 💜💚🖤
that gouge in the side of minotaur is the most impressive part of this fight imo! hope you get to have that piece
Less than a single second of Basshunter and I party.
So what happened to the front left wheel during the fight? Was it the motor, did something get bent keeping wheel from spinning?
Our front green armor got bent down just enough to keep that front wheel off the ground!
@@WitchDoctorTV hexbug should make a rivels set Witch Doctor and mammoth.witch doctor performed a tibal osteotomy on mammoth 😂
@@WitchDoctorTV I have a question will you use the destructathon version of witch doctor 🤔 the one with bigger wheels

I didn't know you guys were recording
Great match! Love these behind the scenes.
That was an epic battle.

These are awesome, thanks! Question I see some teams with HUGE amounts of members. What do all these members do? Congrats to will, fun times!
Thanks for watching! We like putting these videos out!
There are always tasks to do. Many teams operate with at least two frames. It is common to see teams split into groups. Often what we will do is some will work on disassembly of one bot after a match while others prepare the second bot for the upcoming match.
When we come back from a match with a lot of damage, we're very glad to have so many hands!
@@WitchDoctorTV Makes sense! That chunk out of minotaur was insane!
