Looney Tunes tribute to Leopold Stokowski most likely introduced millions of kids to pursue musical careers
Amazing !!!!
Tom & Jerry for me. Seeing a cartoon cat play the piano made me ask the question "Why can't I?" as a kid lol been playing for 27 years
It was Tom n Jerry for me, when they did Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. But Bugs Bunny did drive me to view this video!
My grandfather loved Bugs Bunny because it reminded him of when he studied under Leopold.
Ay aha
Your grandfather loved carrots?
My great grandfather studied under Bugs Bunny.
So where is the scene where the stage collapse?!?!!

Leopold!
A cartoon can be informative becoz of bugs bunny a lot of people came to know about Leopold...... Long live chuck Jones.......
If bothered by the fact that so many people seem to be here due to Bugs Bunny rather than appreciation for classical music, keep this in mind: it means people are still appreciating classical animation.
Think of it as a honor. Without bugs bunny new generation would never UNDERSTAND who this guy is. I mean it tell you something when you got people looking him up from cartoon he was mention in
That thing about appreciating classical music? That's why I'M here.
Well I think not only was the gag in good taste, it was a homage to the man. I for one will honor Lepold's memory and classical music by learning about him!
It can be seen as an education tool, because he mentioned him now Im more educated on him and his history, adding to my previous knowledge base of classical music, already
preestablished Vavaldi, Debussy, ofcourse Beethoven, Mozart. Thus you shouldn't Be bothered by it and Does it really surprise you In this day and age. I myself like classical music and majority of people like myself grew up watching Bugs.
Better than people going to a classical song because it plays before an Animatronic Bear jump scares you in a video game.
Leopold!!! Thanks Bugs.
Leopold !!
bugs bunny brought me here too
Oralē mee Tu !
Leopold!
Leopold!
+Marcos Paulo L..L...LEOPOLD!
*Snaps baton*
I love the internet. Before it was around, you could only find this sort of thing if you were lucky, or by years of diligence searching inter-library loan catalogs. Thank you for sharing a cultural gem of western classical music with the world.
Bugs Bunny me trajo a este video. Jajaja.
X2
Somos tres
X4
A mí también xD
A mi tambien
I'm sure you won't find another conductor like Leopold, his method is not very common as most conductors use batons
Yeah, he had a style that he was very comfortable with. Having a baton is an optional thing for a conductor, so it’s not mandatory. But this is what made Stokowski stand out.
Bugs Bunny was a better conductor than him!
LEOPOLD !!
LEOPOLD!!
Leopold!!!! Bugs Bunny
LEOPOLD!!
hahahha, bugs brought me here too. Leopold!
He is without stick as in bugs bunny

That man never used a stick. 😎
Lepold!!!
Bugs Bunny bought me here, also........LEOPOLD!!!
@stopplayingwithmyfat
The conductor does a couple things. They let the ensemble know when to stop and start, and they keep time to keep everyone playing at the same tempo. That's what most of the arm-waving is for. They also communicate dynamics - tell people when to get louder and softer or when one instrument should back down or play out more. Some conductors even use facial expressions to let people know what kind of emotion they should put into the music.
Leopold! 😰
I'd be willing to bet that any orchestra he conducted played better by a good 20-30% simply because they didn't want to disappoint him.
Leopold!
Leopold!!
I get it. Never heard this song sound so good.
(And I've never seen hands look so much like floppy gloves. He probably has more control of his hand muscles than a ballerina does of her toes.)
Ah, to be back in the school band again.
LEOPOLD!!!!
After seeing the classic Looney cartoon of this composer. For the first time in 40 years, I know who LEOPOLD STOKOWSKI is!
LEOPOLD!!!!😮❤🎉
Leopold!
I’m here cause of bugs bunny lmao
Leopold! 🐰
Package for bugs bunny!!
HaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (x9999999) :v
He's the greatest!!! Leopold!!!
Yes, that Bugs Bunny cartoon brought me here, but I always thought the conductor on the Lawrence Welk show resembled him except with a beard.
It's Leopold !
Thanks "VAI" for this immortal video !!! :)
Bugs bunny brought me here after watching Volume 1 of Looney Tunes Golden collection...
😮 Leopoldo!
😮 Leopoldo!
😮 Leopoldo!
😮 Leopoldo!
😮 Leopoldo!
Leopold!
Leopold!
The neighborhood kids called me "Leopold" when I was a kid. Never knew why, and I didn't like it.
Buck Lilli Did you conduct an orchestra without a baton and have a receding hairline? That mighta triggered it.
I got a receding hairline.... I look kinda psychotic, I love classical music, I just need a few good stout tuxedo's and a commanding respect aura to just walk into a symphony, and instantly getting butt kissed! :)
Algum BR q veio pelo Pernalonga??? 😂
@saabturbografx No, it is because of Bugs Bunny, there is an episode where he conducts an orchestra, and he was dressed like leopold, and everybody in the audience repeated "Leopold"
He don’t need no wand. Remember when Bugs Bunny snapped the wand in the cartoon?😂
GASP! LEOPOLD!
leopold!!!!!
🐰
Bunny Zal lol
LEOPOLD!!!!!!
¡Leopold!
why do two people dislike this?? somebody explain PLEASE
Giovanni Jones was one of them
They hate it because they want to kill the wabbit.
Yeah its Giovanni Jones, or his offsprings fault.
i can understand neither, after all, it is Leopold!
Lmao

Leopold!
He conducted the whole thing using ony his HANDS!?
This is basically what high school concert band felt like even though we weren't playing anything really difficult.
If it wasn't because of bugs bunny, I would have never known this man ever existed
Leopold !
is this the guy Bugs Bunny was referencing in that episode with that opera singer guy?
Yes!
Maybe I'm just an uncultured lout, but what does anyone care about the conductor? He just stands there and waves a stick around.
LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ! ! !
Trivia question...from Bugs we know who Leopold is now but...who is the opera guy singing?
@@Mandi7882 yeah for real, WHO was tha Cat ?
Me too. Bugs Bunny brought me here. And that is NOT a bad thing! Also those old commercials where the older stuffy English guy was selling classical music...
All kidding aside, I’m 60 years old, and it was through those old cartoons that I got introduced to classical music, and I still love it to this day, both the cartoons as well as the music 😄
LEOPOLD!
LEOPOLD!
I wonder if the respect and awe that buggs had gotten from his entrance pretending to be leopo is the same in real life?
bugs bunny eres tu
that violin section sounds like one violin with about a dozen strings! Harmony
Stokowski saw Mahler rehearse his 8th Symphony in Munich.
