I don't get why some fans hate Upstead. For me Jay is way better with Upton. They are equals and always talk their stuff out. Erin, since they very first episode we met her, wanted to be superior. Her relationship with Jay was more physical than emotional.
Upton is the partner Halstead needed the most. He needs someone like her to push him to sort out his head and be there for him with no strings attached, no sex involved.
