Eric played so well in this, I understand the frustration of losing a few winnable games, but overall, beating these guys who regularly score in the top 5 of lichess titled arenas is an accomplishment in itself, beating players like Grichuk, Bortnyk, and Zhigalko is really impressive

@@shreku123 Mainly copyright strike Chessbrahs and some chess UA-cam channels, which threatens their livelihoods as content creators. Don’t feel like typing it all out in a UA-cam comment but there’s a megathread about it on r/chess
Otherwise you can find a whole back catalog of Hikaru’s antics in the past that make him generally disliked also on r/chess.
There isn’t all that much besides the talking heads in chat and comment section. Hikaru lost on time and was upset. He made some comments etc. I am sure him and Eric worked that shit out personally. Then there was a copyright claim made by Bent Pixels Select who has relations with Hikaru’s UA-cam or twitch channel. Who knows? Shit is complicated and that’s why you aren’t getting a straight answer. Just enjoy the chess as usual.
